Venice-born architect Raffaella Bortoluzzi has a penchant for spare interiors that manage to be warm and richly layered, while using new techniques and sustainable materials, as she did for Pomellato boutiques. K magazine caught up with her at her New York studio.
Sustainability took centre stage in Hong Kong Kering on 2 June, when Kering hosted "Fashioning the Future". Central to the evening's events was the 5th edition Kering Sustainability Awards Ceremony, an annual internal contest recognising the most innovative sustainable ideas of the group's employees..
The first class of participants to the ‘Kering Greater China – Leading talent through global perspective’ executive education programme received certificates of completion from Kering, HEC Paris and Tsinghua School of Economics and Management (SEM). Launched by Kering in April 2014, this programme was specifically designed to meet China’s talent development requirements.
The Kering Foundation’s 2015 Awards named Starfish Project. A socially-responsible jewelry business owned and operated by women, Starfish project designs and manufactures jewelry. Proceeds of all sales provide beneficiaries a range of holistic care services, including language acquisition and housing.
As part of the ‘Women in Motion’ program, designed to highlight the contribution of women to cinema, and on the occasion of the Presidential Dinner which took place on 17 May, Kering and the Festival de Cannes have honored actress, producer and philanthropist Jane Fonda, independent producer Megan Ellison, and Olivia de Havilland, 1st woman to be appointed President of the Jury of the Festival de Cannes in 1965.
