Coporate Knights Global 100
Kering was recognised as one of the world’s most sustainable corporations, according to the Corporate Knights’ Global 100 index. Kering is the only luxury corporation to be included in the 2016 Global 100, and placed second within the index’s Textile, Apparel & Luxury Goods sector.
Industry Leader on DJSI
For the second consecutive year, Kering was named industry leader of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World and Europe in 2015, retaining the top spot within the Textile, Apparel & Luxury Goods sector.
The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) tracks the best-in-class sustainability performers among the 2500 largest companies listed in the S&P Global Broad Market Index. Each year applicant companies are rated against an industry-specific questionnaire. Assessed against these predefined criteria, only the top 10% leading performers in terms of sustainability are listed in the DJSI World index.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
With a score of 95B (out of a possible 100), Kering remains a top leader within the Textile, Apparel & Luxury Goods sector of the CDP Climate Performance Leadership Index. Created by more than 767 institutional investors, who represent US$92 trillion in assets, the CDP survey aims to assess the risks linked to climate change within investment portfolios by ranking corporations on their policies.
Kering also entered the CDP Forest Ranking for the first time in 2015, receiving a commendation for its work in the management of deforestation risk associated with the use of raw materials such as leather or wood derivatives such as viscose.
