    Reporting directly to the Retail Director, the right caliber is responsible for adapting and managing all aspects of the training and development initiatives for staff at store levels primarily in Japan. Ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill sets, standards, and highly engaged in contributing to the achievement of business objectives and the company’s vision and values.

    ABOUT US

    Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the Founded by Spanish-born Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 and established in Paris in 1937, the original house of Balenciaga defined modern couture with its many innovations to form and technique. Since his appointment as artistic director in 2015, Demna continues to uphold the vision of Balenciaga through boundary-pushing collections, which have expanded to include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and objets d’art. The brand’s unprecedented interactions with the expanding digital realm, material developments, and today’s social responsibilities keep it at the forefront of modernity. In 2021, Demna designed Balenciaga’s 50th couture collection—the house’s first since its founder retired in 1968 - reintroducing a standard of cutting-edge elegance.

    Reporting directly to the Retail Director, the right caliber is responsible for adapting and managing all aspects of the training and development initiatives for staff at store levels primarily in Japan. Ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill sets, standards, and highly engaged in contributing to the achievement of business objectives and the company’s vision and values.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ※Includes the following, but other duties may be assigned:

    • Work closely with Paris HQ to ensure that training is aligned with the global brand image and direction
    • Plan and conduct in-store field coaching to retail staff in accordance with company service standard and procedures
    • Design, develop, and produce high-quality training materials, documents, and manuals multimedia visual aids, and other educational material
    • Evaluate staff performance and the effectiveness by field coaching, providing recommendations for improvement
    • Visit stores, conduct interviews to assess and design training that meet the needs of the business
    • Implement Mystery Shopper Program and follow up the results
    • Collaborate and work closely with key stakeholders (Retail teams, Merchandising, Store Managers) and ensure that local and global brand goals achieved
    • Delivery and execution of training. Training includes but is not limited to the following: Product, Brand, Material, System, and Sales Techniques Training
    • Track training hours and KPIs to assess the impact of modules, reporting and record maintenance purposes
    • Manage and develop the team mamber to enhance team capability

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • A strong interest and passion for Balenciaga
    • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a shop staff at a luxury fashion brand
    • Previous experience as a senior trainer/ training manager
    • Highly proactive enjoys new challenges, and passionate to learn
    • People and team management experience is essential
    • Native communication skills in Japanese and Business level in English
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Fundamental knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
    • Able to travel frequently within the country / overseas included
