ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

ROLE

Report to the CFO EMEA, the job holder will be responsible for all financial and controlling aspects of the region, should guarantee the accuracy of the financial information provided by the local controller and finance teams and will play the role of coordinator with the other regional department (HR, Buying, Merchandising, Communication, Operations, Retail), and the point of reference with the group financial consolidation team in the headquarter

MISSION

  • Responsible for Forecasting and Budgeting process including 3YP
    • Sales, Margin, Opex, Capex and Cash flow
  • Responsible for review and submission of all Financial Reporting (Regional and HQ):
    • Weekly, Monthly and YTD sales across all channels
    • Monthly P&L along with quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Monthly Management expense reports
    • Monthly Capex and Cash Flow analysis
    • Proactive approach to data mining and certifying information for sales, KPIS, etc.
    • Ad hoc reporting
  • Meetings with department heads to go over financial results and find a regional strategy (MD, Privates sales)
  • Analyze financial results and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monthly Business Review Presentation for EMEA President
  • Responsible to reconcile Capex and partner with Store planning on all projects
  • Assist with preparation of Y/E Audit
  • Assist in compilation, preparation and analysis of EVAs for potential new projects
  • Manage the local KSS (Kering Shared Services) who are managing Saint Laurent accounting and payments
  • Manage, coach and develop one Financial Controller
  • JV partners: management of the specific requests the partners can have
  • Business partner with the General Manager: support management on ad hoc analyses and special projects
  • Support for the real estate: local negotiations of the rents

PROFILE

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years in similar role with management experience; Retail experience a plus
  • Advanced technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Macros…)
  • Core competencies and traits:
    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to research, analyze and evaluate complex data and prepare concise written reports and presentations
    • Ability to multi-task while maintaining critical deadlines
    • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and counterparts overseas
    • Highest regard for confidentiality. Must be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive company information
    • Anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods
  • System savvy and self-motivated to learn new technology and participate in new projects; SAP experience a plus
  • Understanding of accounting principles and procedures
