Alexander McQueen has an exciting opportunity to support the Menswear Design Team as Collection Development Coordinator. You will provide ongoing support to both the Men’s Design team & Studio whilst also working closely with Production.

You will be a pivotal member of the team - Ensuring that deadlines are met, the team are continuously aligned, and the season collection is delivered on time. You’ll be passionate, with a creative mentality, well organised and efficient.

How you will contribute?

  • Work closely with members of the design team (London) and development teams (Novara) to plan Project Development according to the seasonal structure and supervise a timely delivery of samples.

  • Develop and update the collection overview tools - Digital Recaps, Collection Boards and Fabric-To-Sketch Books.

  • Preparing digital line up documents for the Creative Director after each fitting and keeping these updated at all time’s.

  • Coordinating technical launches after each fitting, together with the Design team, collating information on trims, fabrics and construction.

  • Participate in collection and production fittings.

  • Ensure all information is delivered in a timely manner to the internal and external suppliers and quality aligns with Alexander McQueen Guidelines & Standards.

  • Maintain continuous contact with the Women’s development team to ensure strong & smooth communication between both departments.

  • Develop and update the collection overview tools digital recaps, collection boards and Fabric-To-Sketch book

  • Prepare digital line up documents for Creative Director after each fitting and ensuring these are updated at all times.

  • Coordinating technical launches after each fitting, together with  the Design Team, collating information on trims, fabrics and construction.

  • Participate in collection and production fittings.

  • Ensure all information is delivered in a timely manner to the internal and external suppliers and quality aligns with Alexander McQueen Guidelines & Standards.

  • Traveling when required to oversee fit sessions with the regional office and suppliers.

  • Manage the development calendar and surface any deadline issues that may result in delays or setbacks.  

  • Closely monitoring VIP projects alongside the Design Team

  • Managing the Fabric budget together with the Head of Fabrics & Development, ensuring projects are in line with budgets.

  • Responsible for trimming supplies from initial research to final development together with Design team and Product development team in Novara, including London Atelier.

  • Attending Trims Fairs for research purposes, remaining knowledgable on new trends.

  • Ensure both a professional & smooth running of the design department, working closely with the Head of Men’s Wovens.

  • Logistic support to the Studio during Lookbooks, Campaigns, Shows & presentations in terms of set up & castings organisation.

  • Working closely with the Studio Coordinator to support with any Ad-Hoc requirements.

Who you are?

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.

  • Skilled with both Photoshop and Indesign

  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner - strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with factories.

  • Flexible/adaptable in a fast-paced and high-growth environment

  • Both English & Italian proficiency required.

  • Ability to assess situations and present multiple solutions to move projects along.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication of design commentary

  • High level of organisation and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to balance workload across multiple projects and communicate across departments to ensure deadlines are met.
