The position is part of WW Merchandising and reports to the Kids Retail Merchandising Manager & Gucci Garden Buyer.
The main mission of the role is to oversee the omnichannel digital assortment strategy at WW level for the categories you oversee, proposing strategic activities and solutions in order to maximize sales performance and market trends
You are the point person and the referent on Kidswear category, for the following departments: digital WW and regional E-merchandising, WW Collection and Retail Merchandising, WW Digital Merchandising, Digital VM and Supply Chain.
Key activities and accountabilities
- Overview the omnichannel assortment by region for:
- newness: product selection, first allocation quantities/depths by SKUs, in season replenishment, omnichannel assortment in STS and in find in store
- carry over: omnichannel assortment definition and management through SMILE (monthly forecast check)
- Participate in the Master order definition with a strong focus on digital assortment, supporting the retail merchandising team in all the buying preparation analysis in terms of efficiency, average price, SKU target by function;
- Management of the Categorization or Structure for the Digital Assortment
- Ensures alignment of the regional DOS and regional digital merchandising
- Control of weekly publication of new assortment based on the Delivery Flow
- Monitors the digital performance on a weekly, monthly, seasonal basis though the main merchandising and digital KPIs
- Ensures that main investments are covered with digital communication support through a brief to corporate E-merchandising, and revises ecard plan calendar according to product delivery
- Overviews that online visual merchandising is reflecting the digital corporate guidelines and the buy priorities in partnership with corporate product content team and regional merchandising team.
- Close monitoring of the digital competitor activities on a monthly base
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Italian
- Fashion product sensitivity and comprehension of the industry (fashion and digital)
- 3 - 4 years of working experience in buying (ideally 1-3 years in digital)
- Business acumen
- Analytical skills
- Able to interacts with flexibility and diplomacy with the stakeholders
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work in team
- Perfect knowledge of Microsoft package
