Role Mission 

                              

The Manager of Client Events will oversee all retail event initiatives for Gucci America and is responsible for leading the Gucci America retail events integrated strategies that align with the global brand image, while supporting the business objectives within the Gucci America store network and Client Engagement priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic retail and client events strategy that targets existing clients through retention and reactivation efforts, and qualified prospects to satisfy client acquisition goals;
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to implement and customize WW retail event concepts;
  • Develop scalable initiatives that can be executed across multiple markets simultaneously;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish a comprehensive retail event calendar that supports the investments and aligns with the regional and global retail goals while generating immediate, mid, and long-term sales;
  • Leverage internal opportunities and exploit market characteristics to define a tailored program of multi-market or tiered approach events;
  • Work closely with the regional Client Engagement Directors, Client Development, Client Analytics & Insights, Gucci9, and retail teams on the development, implementation, and analysis of pre, during and post strategy to ensure each event opportunity is maximized for optimal client development;
  • Leverage reporting and key findings to provide high level analytics and areas of improvement in partnership with regional Client Engagement Directors;
  • DIY, MTO, Collection Pre-view, “bubble”and festivity activations:  Align, coach, manage and lead incremental sales and appointment results through partnerships with Client Engagement Directors, Retail, and Merchandising;  
  • Plans internal client engagement events including summits, workshops, and activations;
  • Provides full logistical organization and implementation; including budget management, schedules, contract negotiation, and pre-event site visits;
  • Under the guidance of the VP Client Engagement, aides in contractual process and secures cost value savings while reducing liabilities and risk exposures;
  • Supervises all event vendors and event staff;
  • Works with PR firms under contract to identify and optimize client opportunities;
  • Manages and executes master event logistical plan and timeline; assigns/delegates tasks to staff; evaluate, analyze and report results for each event;
  • Utilizes resources responsibly, effectively, and efficiently to successfully manage multiple planning activities.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an experiential marketing or event/production role within the luxury industry with a proven track record of success;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent relationships with top industry vendors and partners;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word; Excel; PowerPoint: Outlook; Fashion GPS;
  • Deep understanding, knowledge and interest in fashion, culture, and art;
  • Strong management, communication, and negotiation skills;
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop team;
  • Experience working with retail teams is a plus;
  • Excellent analytical skills; with an ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide strategies and solutions;
  • Creative, innovative, outside-the-box thinker;
  • Team player who is adept at navigating and managing cross-functional teams and relationships;
  • Ability to multi-task, anticipate project needs, prioritize deliverables, share crucial information, set, and manage deadlines;
  • Domestic and international travel required.

Work authorization
