We are currently seeking a Security Supervisor who will report to the Store Director as part of our dynamic team.
ROLE
The Security Supervisor will support the store management team by leading the loss prevention functions at the store level to minimize loss of company assets while providing a safe environment for all employees and clients. This role will also ensure that the store maintains compliance with all security and loss prevention policies through training and auditing.
MISSION
- Build productive relationships with store team members of all levels
- Handle emergency/crisis incidents while ensuring the safety and security of all store team members and clients
- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor and/or front door with courteous and professional interactions with clients
- Support the vetting, training, scheduling, and overall management of vendor guards
- Participate in store meetings and conduct 1 on 1 training with store team members to raise awareness on loss prevention and safety policies, procedures, and standards
- Assist store management with audits to ensure that the store maintains compliance with loss prevention departmental requirements
- Partner with management to ensure that merchandise is protected in accordance with Loss Prevention sensoring and cabling directives
- Develop strategies to achieve and maintain shrink results which meet company expectations
- Support management team with follow-up on theft incidents and incident reporting
- Develop relationships with local law enforcement and LP/Security partners
- Ensure proper functionality of all store security systems such as CCTV, EAS and Access Control
- Assist Corporate Loss Prevention Manager with special projects, as assigned
PROFILE
- 3+ years of LP and/or retail security related work
- 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills with
- Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
