Analyst/Assistant Buyer

Job Family Group Description - Merchandising: Includes all jobs responsible for selection, availability and visibility of brands’ collections and products within a given territory or for a given sales channel. Job Family Description -Product Merchandising: Develops the merchandising grid based on market trends. Assesses the lifestyle, behaviour and spending power of luxury consumers. Guides the Creative department to shape the collection – from product type, quantity, main structures and possible materials.

Analyst/Assistant Buyer

Reporting and working alongside with the Buyer.



  • Full administrative support to the Buyer
  • Assist and support her superior in all tasks requested
  • Run reports and share with retail teams as required:
    • Sales Update: total trade by store, total trade by category, by store
    • Sell Thru Update: top line by typology for total region; by category, by store
    • Stock & Delivery Report: top line and by category
    • Best Sellers report: by category and location
  • Customer Orders / transfers to others regions  etc
  • Marketing Queries: images, message to  be given to the sales team
  • General support to stores
  • Support with deliveries and day-to-day stock management
  • Implement weekly transfers between stores according to sales / stocks
  • Analyse and feedback for  the supply chain of Handbags / RTW / SLG / Shoes


  • Monitor delivery window vs last year, vs delivery target given by the head office
  • Monitor price changes  vs sales by week by month and vs competition
  • Monthly business review :  being able to process and analyse reports on MTD, YTD vs last month or last year
  • Assisting in the implementation of Monthly sales target  by lines / functions / stores, then  comparison of the actual sales vs targets


  • Pre buying preparation: sell thru by category, style and size and all required reports from the head office
  • Attend and assist with the buying trip
  • Preparation of buying books ( buying of previous seasons by  styles/ quantities)
  • Enter the orders on the system and ensure minimum discrepancies
  • Creation of line list after each buying to present to the retail tea
  • Assist buyers with creation of training presentations
  • Liaise with Paris for training samples
  • Benchmark reports vs. competitors in the market to feedback to Merchandising team at HQ
  • Analyse markdown performance during the period to suggest transfers between stores or markdown % changes
  • Provide operations team with return lists to LGI as requested by HQ
  • Update ‘Training Manual’ with any new procedures, reports and handy hints

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong merchandising and product analysis
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • You are well-organized and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
