Role Mission

This role supports the implementation of local communication strategy that elevates the Gucci brand image, while building long term value and connection with our local communities. 

Key Accountabilities

Press Coverage – Brand & Competition

  • Tracking magazines, newspapers, websites and social media for Coverage on the brand and industry
  • Uploading them in an indexed format on GIP along with PPT’s where needed
  • Sending Vogue, Platform, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Verve, L’Officiel and GQ marked each month to the SAP team
  • Keeping aside key magazines at the end of each month in our cupboards and removing old magazines
  • Sharing product press coverage each week to the stores and SAP communication teams
  • Sending out monthly/bi-monthly coverage to the international teams (best editorials) and stores
  • Sending out industry coverage to the corporate teams
  • Tracking magazines, newspapers, websites and social media for Coverage on competitor brands
  • Tracking Competitor events and maintaining a document to be shared with the events team and for internal reference on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Preparing the quarterly competitor event analysis report
  • Sending key competitor features to the WW communications team on a monthly basis

Billing

  • Ensuring all bills are received on time and the magazine and newspaper bills correspond to the chart
  • Making copies of all bills received and handing over to PR & Marketing Manager for approval

Subscriptions:

  • Discussing internally on key magazines to be subscribed to and managing subscription renewal
  • Assisting PR & Marketing Manager in filing all the subscription bills and updating the subscription budget 

Editorial Strategy & DMR Tracking

  • Proactively updating all confirmed press requests and pitches in the editorial strategy
  • Ensuring that the DMR tracking in the strategy is updated each month for Gucci as well as the key competitors
  • Proactively accessing DMR website to gauge editorial performance each month
  • Sharing internally the ranking and performance of Gucci and the competitors so that the editorial strategy can be modified accordingly

Media Contacts: Keep track of updates & manage the Media and Mailing Lists

  • Constantly update the Media List as per changes in editors/journalists
  • Organize the Media List by segregating contacts in these various categories: Fashion & Lifestyle, Business, Travel, Children, Food, Home, Auto etc
  • Keep track of changes in magazines and newspapers by reading them daily/monthly
  • Continue to update the Fashion GPS contact list in accordance to changes in the media list and upload onto the Fashion GPS system
  • Continuously update the Mailing Lists with changes made to the Media List
  • Continuing to update the Target List to deploy based on changes in media and mailing lists

Seasonal CDs/Lookbooks

  • Updating the lookbook list as per changes made to the media list
  • Sending out to key media CD’s and lookbooks with product images each season followed by an email

Press Sample Management

  • Manage our local press samples for editorial and advertorial requests and duly updating the shootings calendar with any send outs
  • Manage any store sourcing requests for product shoots with stylists
  • Assisting the Communications Manager with the sample order each season
  • Assisting the logistics team to coordinate with the productions team for any additional documentation for sample clearance
  • Assisting finance team to maintain a chart of all samples coming in with their tracking and invoice numbers in order to get the duty amounts in a timely manner
  • Regularly updating FGPS with all shoot requests received and samples sent out: updating inventory, printing barcodes
  • Regularly updating the shootings grid on the PR Homefolder with all shoot requests that have been supported
  • Managing the sample closets: organize and tag all samples with details of the look and season as soon as you receive them.
  • Coordinating with the Logistics Coordinator to get the sample bills and duties on time and updating the sample budget with the same
  • Assist the Communications Manager to allocate a sample budget for each collection and make sure the budget is updated with the final prices and duties along with the codes once samples are received
  • Managing the office Gucci stationery and sending order forms to the international teams for anything we require including, Gucci thank you cards, envelopes, CD cases, CD Stickers and folders.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in PR/Communications/Marketing
  • Detail oriented team player with the ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Self-starter with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Organized with an ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Fashion/Communications/Luxury Brand Management/Marketing preferred
