Event & Special Project Manager

As an Event Manager, this position is responsible on all aspects of brand events from creation for branding events as well as commercial events for clients. You will play a leading role in developing and running events operations including researching and securing venues, planning and managing event calendar, negotiating quotes and agreement with vendors, assisting in event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking and delivering on event brief objectives with key internal and external partner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the brand in hosting events that enhance brand’s image, improve client loyalty and enhance the brand-to-client experience
  • Follow the brand event guidelines but be able to adapt to local relevance that suit with market’s objectives
  • Manage all aspects of pre/post event planning and execution for the market
  • Work with regional team and/or headquarters on event briefs and reporting/ recaps
  • Strong communication on event logistics and internal planning with both internal stakeholders (training, merchandising, VM and etc) and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with tracking progress to meet project timeline
  • Involve in the vendor’s pre-selection based on their past experiences and credentials
  • Prepare clear brief and specific objective in order to share with vendors
  • On-site event execution
  • Collaborate with other markets to leverage initiatives, share and learn from their best practices
  • Research on competitor’s events and activities including update on trends in technology, applications in order to improve productivity and innovation and learn from their best practices

Key Requirements

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in events, marketing and/ or client development. Familiarity in luxury / retail business is preferred
  • Highly motivated with strong ability to multi-task proactively
  • Proven track record in adopting 360° approach towards event management
  • Independent and resourceful with good network/ contacts of vendors for venue, manpower, logistics with high level of vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in production (technical specifications and needs)
  • Well-organized with ability to work on multiple projects autonomously but also be a good team player
  • Be able to monitor the project progress with budget management skills
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn and be able to work under pressure and tight timeline
  • Risk management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal in both English and Thai)
  • Exceptional computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) AutoCAD and others will be a plus
