GUCCI Inventory Controlling Manager

The Regional Retail Inventory Controller will work in the Finance department, being the key point in the control organization of the inventory management. He/she will represent the connection among several functions (Retail, Finance, Logistic, Merchandising, IT). He/she will supervise the Regional team taking into consideration both the global solutions and the local requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all items in the store (back of house included) are accurately inventoried and stored appropriately, including packaging bags and uniforms

• Coordinate with retail dept. so that all stores will follow Gucci Inventory management procedures

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root cause of any inaccuracies, suggesting control points in order to minimize those

• Validate each manual inventory adjustment and make sure each adjustment is properly booked.

• Ensure the transfer of the merchandise is in respect of local legal and fiscal requirements

• Manage each inventory management project following the global instruction and local practice.

• Monitor non-compliant transactions on a regular basis

• Be responsible for the finance aspects of the inventory related to monthly closure

• Provide monthly inventory related analysis (shrinkage, damaged stock, aging analysis etc.)

• Monitor the cycle counts and organize physical stock takes (mid year and year end) and analyze any stock discrepancies, reconciling physical inventory levels with system on-hand quantities.

• Coordinate with involved functions to manage each price event

• Ensure that Guarantee the respect of the internal controls

• Perform compliance control on external and internal sales transactions in order to make sure the global and local policy is strictly respected

• Take part at the tests in order to approve systems changes impacting the inventory

• Support the stores in daily activities related to the Inventory (Shipping and Receiving process- transfers)

• Cooperate with other dept. in the region and corporate to improve existing processes and define points of control to be improved/implemented if needed

 

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Inventory control function is preferable

• Fluent English

• Ability to work on processes  

• Strong analytical and quantitative thinking skills (especially concerning financial activities)

• Project Management skills, being able to foresee any risk and anticipate backup solution or possible workaround

• Strong attitude to work within an international environment and capability to handle good relationships among the organization

• Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently, be self-directed and self-motivated
