MCQ Communications Manager, Asia Pacific

SUMMARY This is a newly created position to be primarily responsible for development and execution of the communications strategies including public relations, marketing, press, event, digital and social media, etc. for Asia Pacific.


  • To lead the communications functions from planning through execution in Asia Pacific with focus in China, reflecting the creative vision of the MCQ collective
  • To develop and implement effective PR strategy on seasonal launches and global PR initiatives in the aim of achieving positive brand building
  • To organize marketing activities and events such as seasonal launch event and special collaboration projects
  • To explore collaboration with external parties and wholesale partners to enhance and develop specific marketing initiatives
  • To build relationship with targeted media, ensuring the quality on all press coverage is in accordance with the MCQ guideline, and execute special projects with both on/off line media
  • To adapt press materials from HQ for local media and digital platform, and strategize PR initiatives on right media for different product lines
  • To closely monitor competitors’ activities and generate reports on regional market intelligence and PR monitoring
  • To actively monitor social media scene, develop and work on relationship with KOL to secure stable social media coverage for the brand regionally
  • To be responsible to reach the communiations and marketing goals for Kering eyewear in alignment with the MCQ communications plan in Asia Pacific
  • To ensure that press coverage is managed, monitored and evaluated ensuring that ROI is optimised
  • To work closely with partner and agency to execute ongoing integrated programs and initiatives through marketing, digital, and events


  • Bachelor Degree holder or above in marketing and communications or related discipline
  • Minimum 8-year of relevant experience with exposure in luxury industry is preferred
  • Extremely well-organised
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative, organize, proactive and able to work within a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Computer literate, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
