ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concent of luxury pre-a-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fasion and revolutionized the scoio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continuous to position the house at summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Luarent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewerly, scarves, ties and eyewear. We are currently seeking a Communication Assistant Manager who will report to Communication Manager as part of our dynamic team in Korea.


The Communication Assistant Manager, PR and Communition role is integral for the growth and presence of Saint Laurent in Korea. The position will manage and promote all public relations and communication efforts for the company, with development and implementation of global communication strategies to support programs and initiatives aligned with business targets, image goals, and product launches across omni-channel. This role will include a strong day-to-day collaboration with Communication Manager in order to craft an integrated strategy for marketing and communications in this fast-evolving sector of luxury retail.


  • Partner with Communication Manager to ideate initial concepts and direction for brand campaigns, events, collaborations, and partnerships in order to achieve communication and marketing goals

  • Plan, organize, and implement market survey to obtain data that provides insight to market trends and consumer requirements

  • Identify the specific PR and Marketing needs and initiatives globally to build strategy and fulfill those needs in partnership with Media and PR agency

  • Develops strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying press, industry and customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.

  • Manage Saint Laurent’s external Media and PR agency partners

  • Partner with Manager and Team to develop and manage the annual AD/PR budget and the annual calendar of initiatives and activities

  • Oversee and manage sample trafficking, VIP and celebrity dressing strategies, calendars, and outreach

  • Manage, develop and mentor Social Media Strategist to achieve department goals and successfully execute day-to-day responsibilities

  • Monitor brand placement and exposure in the media to ensure all communications are aligned with brand positioning and values, ensuring the brand is represented correctly and consistently across all target media

  • Own all media relationships with key outlets, press, VIPs, and influencers

  • Own and leverage social media and new relevant platforms, ensuring digital amplification of press activity, brand collaborations, and customer experiences

  • Develop editorial strategies to obtain features that communicate key products, stories, and exclusive collaborations to a global audience

  • Manage communication of daily press and editorial coverage report to entire company

  • Work closely with retail and merchandising to ensure that all product is supported to drive sell-through performance

  • Develop and implement new market and category launch strategies

  • Work with cross-functional marketing partners to ensure ecommerce site, in-store retail, social, and digital experiences are cohesive and compelling

  • Collaborate with retail and CRM department to ensure the brand is properly represented on the site across copywriting, product photography, journal, and all digital communication for Saint Laurent’s customers (including affiliates)


  • At least 8 years communications and public relations experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in PR, Communications, Marketing or related field

  • In-depth knowledge of Media, PR, digital and marketing process, and best practices

  • Prior experience managing and working closely with an external PR agency

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both orally and written

  • Regularly research and source partners/influencers, create relationships and maintain a database of online and offline contacts

  • Experience working with digital, social engagement tools & platforms (i.e. Kakao, Instagram, Facebook)

  • Good reporting and analytical skills, and ability to use insight to develop future campaigns

  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)

  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels and in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engine

  • Familiarity with video production, native contents

  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to develop a team and follow-up skills and attention to detail

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

  • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking

  • Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others
