ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.


This position is based in the Saint Laurent Hong Kong office, reporting directly to Chief Commercial Officer and Asia Pacific President. Responsible for managing Architecture activities related to the development of luxury boutiques in the APAC region for Saint Laurent. 


  • Oversee and coordinate all architectural and construction activities involved with the creation or renovation of the new boutique, office, Pop Up store, showroom, etc. concept and aesthetical direction are provided by the Company
  • Liaise with the Finance team and Paris headquarters to determine and maintain budgets
  • Collaborate with Legal and Business Development team to secure and finalize contracts
  • Lead the regional store planning team in coaching and supporting the team in their roles and ongoing development
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, Retail, Store Operations and GMs to share all information about drawings, linears, opening date, etc.
  • Establish contact with architectural teams to obtain location drawings, guidelines and all other necessary technical kick-off information
  • Collect start-up information from corporate and local involved parties that are necessary for headquarters to develop the design, following company commercial requirements
  • Coordinate with WW Store Planning team to execute and adjust location layout from HQ to match planned retail sales and organize internal review with all necessary parties
  • Develop feasibility studies to help evaluate locations and estimate budgets and timings
  • Prepare Capex and Cost reports which are to be updated regularly, parallel to the project development
  • Organize bidding and award of all consultants and supervise their activities and outcomes
  • Organize general and millwork contractors: evaluate documents and offers and coordinate work assignments
  • Evaluate consultant and contractor drawings to ensure consistency with projects and concepts
  • Visit sites and prepare all necessary reports: from setting out to punch list completion and opening, to ensuring the quality of building construction and millwork installation, identifying outstanding issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Oversee shops and support necessary repairs
  • Coordinate with Landlords, local architects and engineers to ensure all projects fulfill all local compliance requirements and corresponding regulations 
  • Propose any cost-effective measures and help minimize overall project spend, while without compromising quality, standards, safety and company sustainability guidelines


  • Degree holder or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or related field 
  • 10 - 12 years+ experience in the field of interior design, construction or project management 
  • Prior work experience with contractors and store projects management in retail, luxury brands experience is highly preferred
  • Independent, problem solver and collaborative with cross-functional teams
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines while self-motivating
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Projects, Photoshop and Sketch-up
  • Willing to travel overseas when necessary
