We are currently seeking a strategic and talented Global PR Manager to join the Alexander McQueen Communications and Marketing team based in our central London offices.
Your Opportunity
Offering the opportunity to lead on the development and execution of our accessories press strategy for womenswear accessories, you will be responsible for creating global press materials fostering media relations to develop visibility and heighten brand awareness across the industry within this crucial category for the company; tactically maximising return on investment.
How you will contribute:
Create and implement global accessories press strategy, in line with direction from CMO and Global PR Director
Develop effective press strategy and calendar that is aligned with new launches and seasonal trends, reflective of the brand and the Creative Director’s vision and regional / market needs
Strategically develop our brand positioning and awareness in the field of accessories across markets worldwide, supporting the local teams with needs and requirements
Pitch and present features and product placement with local media, in line with the brand
In close collaboration with the Chief Communication and Marketing Officer, VIP Manager and PR / Communications Director, identify opportunities and maintain our celebrity seeding / gifting strategy WW. Build the product placement strategy seasonally and execute with the VIP Manager to ensure top level results
Support in the translation and localisation (where appropriate) of corporate imagery – ad campaign, look books etc.
Coordinate and attend international and local press days as required
Develop, pitch, manage and promote local press days and other brand related events
Support in executing the WW CRM strategy for accessories, supporting with clientelling events as appropriate
Support the global team during the seasonal show, organising bag placement with key VIP’s / talents attending
Ensure local coverage in all regions is managed, monitored and evaluated ensuring that ROI is optimised
Supervising all DMR activity globally and creating internal reports for CEO, CMO, Creative Director and other key parts of the business
Working closely with Global PR Director to create seasonal strategy and regular communications updates for the rest of the business, as and when requested by CMO
Keep abreast of market trends, events and stories to feed future development
Assist in sample movement as required for the regions
Responsible for acting as an ambassador of the brand at all times
Supervise and manage Accessories Press Officer and Accessories Grad Trainee
Your Skills and Experience:
Extensive PR and Marketing experience either in-house or agency within luxury fashion brands
Strong knowledge of luxury accessories strategies, good brand awareness
Demonstrable experience developing and executing relevant press, media and CRM events
Extensive network of Press contacts WW to draw upon with proven experience in building relationships with instrumental players
Experience of dealing with and influencing senior stakeholders
Excellent data and analytical skills to clearly demonstrate the ROI on local market activities
Emotionally intelligent with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, campaigns and events in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Able to work as a team player in close collaboration with the international communications teams
Presentable and confident with client entertaining
Willing to travel as part of the role
Degree in a related discipline
