We are currently seeking a Special Projects Graduate Trainee to join the
Special Projects - Communications team at Alexander McQueen. The role will be based in our central London office, directly reporting to our Special Projects & Corporate Communications Officer, as part of the Communications team working under the direction of our Global Communications & Special Projects Director.
The Special Projects Graduate Trainee will be primarily responsible for assisting the department with its ongoing projects, and its day-to-day and general administrative tasks. The candidate would have the opportunity to gain an understanding of what special projects and communications involves in a luxury fashion brand, as well as seeing how projects are developed with each of our departments.
We are looking for someone who is passionate and has a comprehensive understanding of the house, is able to manage a fast-paced and varied workload and has excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
How you will contribute
Supporting with day-to-day tasks within the department.
Supporting the Special Projects team on all organisational and administrative tasks, including general logistics, couriers/international send outs, exhibition upkeep, prep for creative meetings, organising and updating key documents, assisting with Special Projects communications monitoring, and reporting.
Assisting the Special Projects team working across a variety of ongoing projects, including exhibition development and logistics, and project research relating to design process, communications, archive information and imagery.
Supporting in the production and smooth-running of Special Projects related events, shoots and educational workshops and programmes.
Assisting the Special Projects team on the continual development of the education programme, including prep for creative educational workshops, sourcing workshop materials and equipment where needed and providing logistical support.
Who you are:
Degree in a related discipline or equivalent
Communications/Fashion/History of Art.
Strong interest and up-to-date knowledge of current fashion and art industry.
Comprehensive understanding of Alexander McQueen recent and historical collections and projects.
Excellent organizational skills, proactive, strong attention to detail, excellent time management and ability to work well under pressure.
Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
