Alexander McQueen is currently in search of a Junior Merchandiser that will work across our Men's RTW & Silk Accessories categories.

Your Opportunity?

As Junior Merchandiser for Men's RTW & Silk Accessories you will work together with the Senior Men’s Merchandiser to play a key role in supporting our merchandising strategy for this growing part of the business. 

Silk Accessories category includes: Mens and Womens Scarves, Hats, Socks, Gloves & Umbrellas, Mens Ties and Mens Beachwear.

How you will contribute?

  • Partner with the Senior Merchandiser to devise the growth strategy for the categories and implement strategy through strong partnership with the Mens design team.

  • Set up and send out weekly trade reports on category

  • Complete the sell in analysis, actively perform sell out analysis for monthly performance and analysis on “Always in Stock” and “permanent package” to help the Senior merchandiser defining product cycle life and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

  • Managing competitor analysis for the category, by interpreting market needs, trends and identify opportunities to enhance the collection.

  • Suggesting in-season actions to maximize sale s and profit opportunities, including VM proposal.

  • Manage training materials that are fit for purpose and suitable for use by our Wholesale, Buying and Retail teams - transmitting depth of product knowledge acquired throughout the development process.

  • Supporting with the selling campaign, on editing preparation, catalogue management and organization of sample set before and after campaign launch while supporting during selling campaigns to prepare collections brief by setting up the samples display and scarves looks.

  • Build selling documents and follow up of the collection plan.

  • Work on sales comment documents.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with retail buying team by working closely with Merchandising's role as a strategic support

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing & Communications, PR, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Visual Merchandising​

Who you are?

  • Previous experience in Men’s merchandising and Silk Accessories merchandising is desirable.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and keen on learning additional systems

  • Extensive analytical and numeracy skills.

  • Flexibility to travel at short notice.

  • A true passion & understanding of the Luxury Men's market, with a good sense of both product and detail, along with a strong understanding of the mentioned categories markets.

  • Fluent in English, with Italian being beneficial.
