Alexander McQueen are in search of personable, analytical and strategic Leathergoods Retail Merchandising Manager to join the business at an exciting time of growth for the category and House as a whole. You will be responsible for driving the worldwide success of leathergoods throughout the entirety of the product lifecycle, analysing the buy and identifying opportunities and risks across all regions prior to order deadlines. Whilst a demonstrating a strong understanding of the codes of the House, you will use your insights, retail feedback and market knowledge to present potential best seller, balancing image and commercial needs. You will manage the collection launches, liaising cross functionally with multiple stakeholders (Buying, Retail, Merchandising, VM and Supply Chain) to develop a 360 action plan. Working closely with your peers across the regions, and under the direction of the WW Buying Director, you will be responsible for producing a central buy assortment across the LG category.

How you will Contribute:

Buy

  • Responsible for managing the pre-buy for Leathergoods
  • Undertake in depth analysis of Regional buys to study past sales and current buy mix vs. sales mix for your category to identify any risks and growth potential
  • Identify potential worldwide best sellers and product to strategically buy for low WoC
  • Prepare a preliminary worldwide buy analysis to identify misalignment across product
  • Present back to the WW Buying Director on findings to ensure that this is aligned with the global strategy
  • Develop content that can be presented to the Senior Management team to debrief on the WW buy during the campaign
     

Central Buy

  • Support the WW Buying Director in strategically selecting and quantifying product for central buys – managing the end-to-end buying cycle
     

Launch and in-store training

  • Prepare WW Product Training Packs
  • Create in-store training materials that will drive sales through product clustering
  • Partner with the Sales & Demand Planning team to align on product inflow – identifying product availability for launch
  • Collate existing assets to develop effective sample styling guides
     

Markdown Process

  • Support the WW Buying Director in defining Markdown and RTV lists for the LG category.
     

Regional Transfer

  • Partner with the relevant internal teams, utilising the global visibility you have of the LG category in order to identify opportunities for regional stock transfers
     

Core Product

  • Challenge the supply chain teams to ensure there are sufficient quantities of permanent product for your category in all stores worldwide
