BALENCIAGA - Global Head of Retail Training

As Global Head of Retail Training you define the retail training strategy, lead the development and implementation of the training strategy, from conception to rollout. You identify synergies with other departments; instill best practice sharing, and a consistent approach to learning.

Reporting to the Global Retail Excellence Director, you will support business and retail teams by assessing, designing, and ensuring the development and deployment of engaging retail-training tools.

In this context, your main missions and responsibilities will be 

Missions:

  • Assess, design and develop Retail Training tools (for both classroom and digital) in line with the Retail Excellence strategy and Global Retail Training framework.
  • Follow-up on training roll-out with Regional training
  • Manage, engage and develop Retail Training team at headquarters and regionally

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the retail training by defining a clear coherent training framework and roadmap
  • Supervise and support Regional training teams and co-design training content
  • Provide the retail training strategy to key stakeholders
  • Work with other teams to effectively manage projects
  • Collaborate with Retail Excellence departments, Regions and Product Training team on the design and development of training content
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis
  • Train-the-trainers and train managers
  • Ensure training follow-up with Regions post 30-60-90 days
  • Partner with Retail Performance to drive CEE (mystery shopping) results via training initiatives
  • Support Pilot Stores’ and teams with trainings and training tools
  • Create Morning Brief packs for Store Managers to reinforce training topics
  • Oversee the production of in-store training tool kits (physical and digital)
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals and milestones
  • Define key success measures
  • Effectively manage stakeholders to ensure requirements are prioritized appropriately and aligned to business strategy and target operating model
  • Identify, document and propose improvements to ways of working which will promote efficiency across assigned business area
  • Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation
  • Deliver defined solution on time, in budget, supporting business success criteria
  • Define and manage administration and budget

Profile requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Graduation degree (Bac +5)
  • 7-10 years’ experience in training design, development and deployment  
  • Possess a strong passion in fostering a learning culture and developing talents   
  • Excellent communication, creative, organization, and influencing skills
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Previous experience in a global retail environment in a similar position would be appreciated
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Highly organized and problem solver
  • Strong team player, able to effectively partner with local teams and managers
  • Able to work in a fast and international environment with many interactions
  • Able to work under pressure on tight schedule and adapting to different requests (prioritize + flexibility)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point); Photoshop; digital tools
  • Perfect command of English
