BALENCIAGA Ready To Wear Production Planning & Controlling Manager

With the appointment of Demna Gvasalia as artistic director of the collections in 2015, he continues to uphold the vision of Cristóbal Balenciaga through his exquisite techniques, masterful cuts and by constantly pushing boundaries. We are currently seeking a Production Planning & Controlling Manager who will report to the RTW Operations Director as part of our dynamic team in Novara.

Your opportunity  

You will manage all the activities related to the Ready To Wear Production, from the production launch to the finished product delivery to the warehouse interfacing with other departments such as external laboratories, raw material buying office, pattern makers, quality technicians, product development department and warehouses. 

 

How you will contribute  

  • Handle the production process and ensure results are in accordance with company standards 

  • Participate in analysis meetings and define the production plan with the RTW product development team 

  • Ensure the correct technical data receipt 

  • Ensure the necessary production documentation to the laboratories and both internal and external technicians 

  • Cooperate with suppliers in purchasing of raw materials 

  • Cooperate with pattern makers and with the quality control team in order to better coordinate the production progress and fix any technical problems during the garments’ production  

  • Coordinate the production launch, managing priorities and outgoing goods from the raw materials warehouse 

  • Ensure that laboratories receive forecasts launch 

  • Ensure the timely processing of laboratories material requested and ensure the correct change management system 

  • Check the production progress and laboratories delivery in relation to the company business goals 

  • Manage the shipping planning of finished goods to the distribution warehouse 

  • Ensure procedures compliance for Italian and foreign production 

  • Give feedback for improving necessary operating system management and training and development plan for the team 

 

Who you are  

  • An individual with at least 5 years’ experience in a production team coordinator role 

  • Knowledgeable about clothing techniques and production processes in the RTW/textile sector 

  • Proficient in MS Office 

  • Willing to travel frequently  

  • An excellent communicator and a strong team player with good interpersonal skills 

  • A skilled problem solver with high attention to detail and solid analytical and synthetic abilities 

  • Flexible, adaptable and proactive 

  • Passionate about fashion luxury 

  • Proficient in Italian and English, both written and spoken; other languages as a plus
