Role Mission
Part of the direct procurement team she/he contributes to improve and monitoring Gucci performance, propose and implement cost efficient and innovative procurement initiatives in line with our high standard of quality. She/he works in close collaboration with the different internal departments and in interface with the strategic vendors.
Procurement domains: Ready-to-Wear mainly, with possibility to address also other categories such as Shoes, Leather Goods, Jewelry and Watches.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to build the company internal plan and priorities regarding procurement activities
- Collaborate with the different departments and budget owners in order to identify procurement projects to be managed, propose appropriate procurement strategy considering internal requirements and framework, best practices, market trend, supplier capabilities
- Contribute to the assessment and selection of the most accurate suppliers in compliance with internal and external regulations and procedures
- Perform competitive sourcing activities, negotiate and analyze scenarios to be proposed for final selection
- Collaborate to contractualization with selected suppliers in order to ensure appropriate deliverables and risk avoidance, in accordance with legal department
- Contribute to monitor supplier performance thanks to stakeholder feedbacks and internal KPI
- Report procurement performances
- Identify proactive solutions to contribute to the company's performance and solve problems
- Support in set up and implement a monitoring solution for Direct Procurement activities on Ready-to-Wear Purchasing activities
Desired Skills and Experience - Key Requirements
- Degree in Economy / Finance / Management Engineering
- At least 5/7 years of experience in a similar function (Direct procurement team preferred)
- Experience in project leading, tender organization and cost saving projects management
- Analytic skills (bid and cost analysis, scenario modelling etc.)
- Strong Excel and Power Point capability
- Fluent in Italian and English
- First class interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to challenge internal and external stakeholders and to take initiatives
- Strategic thinking
- Sense of ethic and integrity
- Team worker and problem-solving skill
- Result oriented, proactivity and strong negotiation and diplomacy skills
- A previous experience in Luxury manufacturing sector will be considered a plus, such as knowledge of garments and textiles.
- Availability to frequent trips in Italy and occasionally abroad.
