Your opportunity
You will pioneer tangible change in sustainable material scouting and play a role in enabling modern Luxury through innovation. Working with a team of passionate practitioners at our innovative in-house research hub, you will lead projects and initiatives that support our Houses in sustainable sourcing choices and drive the strategic value of the lab.
How you will contribute
Investigate, identify, launch and manage innovative pilot projects with our Houses, suppliers, start-ups and other stakeholders in Kering eco-system through an open innovation approach addressed to implementation
Collaborate with quality control, product compliance teams and with Testing Innovation Lab, to ensure physical-chemical testing compliance and scientific consistency to innovative developments and researches
Coordinate meetings, workshops and initiatives about innovative solutions with Kering Houses to engage, nurture relationship and drive the value of MIL
Act as an ambassador of the MIL at conferences and start-up accelerator events related to innovation
Research and compare new materials, solutions, processing technologies and technologies to improve MIL knowledge and material library, ensuring the database is organised correctly and kept constantly updated
Manage desk research analysis, due diligence and writing content on innovative solutions to deepen understanding of the current and the future sustainable raw materials landscape
Curate and coordinate compelling visual display that ensure the work of MIL is showcased informatively and effectively
Who you are
You have a scientific background on bio-technology, or materials science or chemistry; extra knowledge on textile and textile processes, and/or wet processing (dyeing, finishing, pre-treatment, etc.) is a plus;
Experienced in understanding and performing quality testing, general knowledge about LCA and environmental impact measuring tool
A highly organised, committed project manager with 6 years’ experience at least in running innovative projects with multiple stakeholders and managing different competencies and knowledge bases
An open-minded opportunity spotter with a thirst for innovation and the insight to recognise the maturity stage of solutions, the ability to investigate and to carry out technical due diligence
A passionate advocate of sustainable development in the Luxury sector with a focus on environmental science
A multi-tasking team-player who thrives in a fast-moving, international environment and has a positive approach to problem setting and solving able to nurture team members
A fluent Italian and English speaker with excellent communication skills
