Role Mission

The Marketing Manager, Innovation, reporting to the Senior Director of Innovation & New Business Models will be responsible for developing, managing and executing digital regional marketing strategies for the Innovation department. Strategies will focus on key collection and product launches for all product categories. The Marketing Manager, Innovation will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the luxury industry and ecommerce, from the external landscape to internal operations. This position must be adept in collaborating with key stakeholders across departments and functions (Merchandising, Public Relations, Client Engagement, Events, Retail, Digital, Wholesale) in order to successfully execute high-impact digital product marketing initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing initiatives, delivering strong and compelling messaging around merchandise to Gucci clients;
  • Responsible for social channels, email marketing creative strategy and deployment;
  • Maintain and distribute strategy documents and the Core Marketing Calendar to ensure organizational alignment within the core team
    • The 360-degree strategy should carefully detail all the customer touchpoints that are activated in relation to a marketing initiative
    • The calendar should highlight key launches and activation moments to help illustrate the flow of communication that will reach Gucci’s final customer;
  • Build strong relationships across local and corporate departments to drive coordination efforts and organizational alignment
    • For marketing campaigns, the Marketing Manager - Innovation will be required to effectively coalesce cross-department teams to ensure that they are working in unison and according to the prescribed strategy;
  • Track the Key Performance Indicators of marketing initiatives and campaigns;
  • Drive both customer bonding and commercial results;
  • Proactively look for new ways of assessing marketing impact – both quantitative and qualitative.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications;
  • A minimum of 5 years in the luxury or fashion sector, with a strong operational background in ecommerce marketing;
  • Inherent team spirit and the ability to forge meaningful relationships across multiple departments and functions;
  • Strong presentation skills – written and verbal – to share and communicate strategy;
  • Ability to combine analytical analysis with creative and nuanced marketing strategies;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, excel and word);
  • Ability to adopt and learn new systems and analytics tools.
