Role Mission

The Regional Security Manager for Central & Mid-Atlantic is responsible for protecting the tangible assets of Gucci North America. This position will act as a liaison between the retail stores and corporate while providing a safe and secure environment as well as ensuring profitability.  This position will cover locations in the Central and Mid-Atlantic markets, preferably based in Texas or Illinois. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Build effective partnerships in the field that are then able to be leveraged to achieve common goals of improving sales while protecting our assets;
  • Drive shrink reduction goals for assigned area;
  • Assess high shrink stores to identify losses and make actionable recommendations to improve results;
  • In support of corporate directives, maintain close liaison with government and industry security professionals to achieve a high level of security response;
  • Recruit and train Security Specialist within assigned region;
  • Manage requirements for Specialists and vendor security workforce ensuring efficiency;
  • Ensures that all internal and external investigations are completed in a timely manner that complies with all corporate and legal standards:
  • Collect evidence and case facts to substantiate liability in order to bring closure to an investigation;
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality through internal investigations, partner with store/district leadership, HR and legal to address and take corrective actions;
  • Leverage exception and store reporting to identify theft activity in assigned area;
  • Conduct security surveys and internal audits in accordance with departmental requirements;
  • Participate in store meetings to increase awareness on safety initiatives and emergency/crisis management response and procedures;
  • Partner with other departments to ensure proper security protection and execution of plans for new store openings and remodels;
  • Communicate installation issues for follow-up;
  • Coach and train store leadership and associates on loss prevention techniques as well as identifying red flags with internal and external losses;
  • Responsibility for conducting comprehensive risk and site vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for the protection of employees and to prevent financial loss, damage, or business interruptions;
  • Coordinate and manage security event coverage;
  • Manage incident reporting system to report and track security incidents thereby ensuring all security incidents are addressed and appropriate communications of resulting actions are accomplished, including conducting employee investigations involving loss or other fraud;
  • Maintain awareness of the regional security situation and provide timely support and advice regarding elevated security, safety risk i.e. coups, protests, natural disasters, & disease breakout;
  • Support customer service investigations, react to subpoenas, and assist with video verification when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years directly-related, multi-unit LP and/or Retail work experience;
  • Wicklander-Zulawski certification required;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills;
  • Strong management/leadership skills necessary to develop cohesive teams;
  • Experience in driving successful LP, shortage control, safety/fire/accident reduction & fraud prevention programs;
  • Understanding of criminal and civil law as it applied to the retail environment;
  • Strong working knowledge of physical security (Burglar alarms, EAS, CCTV, & guard Mgt.);
  • Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Excellent analytical skills necessary to demonstrate the ability to solve problems;
  • Maintains the ability to deal with sensitive loss prevention issues in an ethical manner;
  • Proficient computer skills including loss prevention applications, MS office (Excel, word, and Powerpoint) and store systems including exception-based reporting;
  • Business acumen: knows how business works, knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization, is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace;
