MEAI BUYING MANAGER Role Mission The Buying Manager is part of the EMEAIR Merchandising Team and responsible of the MEAI buying process as well as motivate and build a team to exceed plan and drive the business Key Accountabilities • SELLING CAMPAIGN o Responsible for Buying activities of MEAI Region (selection and quantities definition on Channel level and Store level) o EOS analysis and strategy definition proposal pre selling campaign o MEAI Carry Over selection proposal pre and post buy, with review by store • SALES MONITOR\SUPPORT SALES o Weekly analysis interpretation with immediate actions to improve sales: o Qualitative comments on business o Deliveries check and Newness allocation with Shipment office o Cancellations and reorders o Monthly meeting with CDPP Team o Monthly Calls with WW Merchandising o Rationalization of stock in MEAI Region o Feedback to Shipments Office for Consolidation o Rationalization of stores assortment both for Newness and Carryover o Slow movers o Weekly Newsletter (new arrivals, product focuses, weekly call schedule, store visit schedule…) o Input for major visual set-up with physical presence o Assortments review for events, reopening, closure o Product Training and TWTW • CITY ALLIANCE • CLIENTELING ACTIVITIES o Top Client assortment proposal o Support during OTO o Caravan selection • PLANNING & STORE LAYOUT o Top Store sales plan (New activities) o OTB by category and store o Store layout definition with Visual, Retail and Planning Teams • MARKET INTELLIGENCE & COMPETITORS ANALYSIS o Competitors analysis & Pricing analysis; Merchandising grid o ADV Rotation feedback and monthly meeting with Communication Team Key Requirements • Successful studies in business management, majoring in business administration or marketing • At least 5 or 6 years of experience in a similar role in Dubai • Fluent in English • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills • Analytical capabilities and numerical aptitude • Experience in large volume distribution • Good knowledge of Visual Merchandising • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills • Highly committed to Gucci brand and strong passion for opportunity presented • Passionate about exceeding corporate goals and driving business • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen • Ability to understand current market trends and buying psychological mindset • Talent for managing, coaching and developing a team
