Among the greatest fashion designers of his time, the legacy of his work lives on.

Alexander McQueen are currently in search of a Italian Speaking Senior Product Coordinator to join our Dynamic Design Studio based in our Central London HQ.

Reporting directly in to the Associate Head Of Design for Wovens, the role is instrumental in coordinating a smooth & timely sampling process – working closely with both the UK Design Studio & Novara Development Team.

How you will contribute?

  • Plan, coordinate and execute projects from insights gathering to brief stage, through design, development, costing, and into commercialisation.

  • Work closely with members of the design team (London) and development teams (Novara) to plan project development according to the seasonal structure that leads to on–time delivery of samples.

  • Develop and update the collection overview tools digital recaps, collection boards and Fabric-To-Sketch book.

  • Assist the design team in putting together design packs, organising sketches by category and publish tech packs on PLM.

  • Participate in meetings and improve project workflows to support design and sampling team and ensure proper development at all stages while meeting cost, quality, and brand objectives.

  • Participate in collection and production fittings.

  • Review all prototypes/samples and feedback to manufacturers in conjunction with design team.

  • Inspect samples before a fit session ensuring all set requirements have been met. Come prepared to fittings with all related information from the previous fitting, i.e., fit comments, sample, etc.

  • Ensure all information is delivered in a timely manner to the internal and external suppliers and quality is up to Alexander McQueen’s standards.

  • Communicate with the offshore departments (To Make and To Buy) on all technical issues, providing technical expertise and giving detailed feedback on samples.

  • Travel when required to fit product with offshore offices and suppliers. Visit suppliers and work with technical staff to make sure that requirements are understood.

  • Manage the development calendar and surface any deadline issues that may result in not meeting set deadlines. Prioritize workload based on production timeline and deliverables.

  • Manage technical product data (PLM).

  • Schedule appropriate fit models for fittings.

  • Manage delivery with factory partners.

  • Ensure professional and smooth running of the design department, working closely with the Associate Head of Design.

Who you are?

  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner - strong written and verbal communication skills of design commentary.

  • Capability to understand the vision and provide technical expertise, by foreseeing problems and offering alternatives to the design team.

  • Skilled at assessing situations and presenting multiple solutions to move projects along.

  • Proven experience of balancing workload across multiple projects and communicating clearly across departments to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Experienced in organising and prioritising a departments workload.

  • Understanding of cross functional teams and implications.

  • English & Italian Proficiency to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Photoshop, InDesign etc

  • High level of organisation and time management skills.

  • Experience in supervising and managing a team, continuously motivating.
