Among the greatest fashion designers of his time, the legacy of his work lives on. 

Alexander McQueen are currently in search of a Worldwide Wholesale Director to join the House, Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer you will be based in our Central London HQ whilst working in collaboration with all Global Regions.

As the WW Wholesale Director, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategy for our Wholesale channel, in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will have responsibility for the channel performance and profitability at global level and you will be working in collaboration with the Regional Presidents and Wholesale Directors on key commercial strategies and decisions. You will also be leading key global projects including our wholesale footprint evolution and you will provide valuable market feedback about trends and competition.

How you will contribute?

  • In collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer, CEO, & Regional Presidents, define and develop the Wholesale Strategy

  • Establish and roll out a comprehensive road map for the channel in line with the overall company strategy

  • Communicate overall strategy to regional teams and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on strategy and projects execution.

  • Agree on seasonal budgets and monitor performance per category and across channel. Responsible for performance and profitability.

  • Responsible for the showroom team and budgeting process around the showroom

  • Review and approve orders per campaign at global level and collaborate with regional teams on achieving expected targets.

  • Support Regional WS Directors on negotiations with key partners and act as escalation point as required in collaboration with Regional Presidents. The Regional WS Directors will be accountable for the day to day Key Account Management, and partner relationships within their regions.

  • Collaborate with global merchandising on assortment and develop category strategies in line with the company vison and direction

  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Supply Chain on demand and ensure orders execution on time and in full.  Discuss any quality issues feedback and collaborate to ensure resolution.

  • Collaborate with Finance on sales targets, performance, risks & opportunities, and key commercial agreements.

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to facilitate relevant support as required and monitor return on investment

  • Collaborate with WW Retail training for the cascade of relevant materials to partners to enable 3rd party teams to represent the House and its collections to clients

  • Develop WW reporting solutions for the wholesale channel to enable further visibility and allow for better decision making and tracking of strategy execution.

Who you are?

  • You have extensive experience of Wholesale and within roles of seniority ideally in luxury houses

  • Your commercial acumen is exceptional, and you can demonstrate your ability to drive results and achieve profitability goals

  • You have strong knowledge of Wholesale distribution networks in key markets across the globe

  • Comfortable leading change and projects. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

  • Astute and confident decision maker, able to communicate effectively across all levels.

  • Resilient with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing environment
