We are looking for an HR Generalist Northern Europe based in London, that will work together and report into the HR Manager to ensure the organisation has appropriate HR support on all matters relating to employment relations (for the UK), recruitment and administration across the Northern Europe area.

Your opportunity

  • Support and coach UK managers with all Employee Relations policies, queries and processes including grievance and disciplinary, absence management, performance management in line with best practice and legislation, escalating to the HR Manager where necessary

  • Conduct investigations and support with note taking as per the UK ER processes

  • Administering the process for new joiners, leavers , maternity and paternity leave and all changes in Workday for the Northern Europe

  • Supporting with the monthly payroll and bonus calculations for Northern Europe

  • Accurately drafting UK, Ireland and Netherlands HR correspondence including letters of concerns, probation period extension, etc

  • Maintaining employee data on the HR database and records to ensure accuracy

  • Supporting managers with the recruitment life-cycle and experienced in conducting interviews for Northern European roles

  • Provide advice and guidance on relevant terms and conditions of employment, employment related policies, procedures and practice to both colleagues and managers for the UK, Ireland and Netherlands

  • Work with the HR Manager as required to support the wider HR Strategy

  • Support the wider HR Team with projects and ad-hoc work as and when needed

Who you are

  • Excellent communications skills, fluent in both spoken and written English.  Ability to speak German to a good level would be advantageous but not essential

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word and Outlook. Use of Workday would be advantageous

  • Organised and detail orientated

  • Customer focused

  • Proven ability to effectively manage a varied workload

  • Able to self-organise and work proactively

  • Friendly, positive and welcoming with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels

  • Able to maintain confidentiality, and work with sensitive data

  • Previous proven experience in a similar role is essential, ideally holding Associate Membership to the CIPD
