GUCCI IT Service Specialist ( Production)

The IT Service Specialist is the knowledge leader of one or more business/technology area for Production area and factories. His/her mission will be to review and improve the Service Portfolio in order to provide the maximum value to the business and users. The ERP Development & Support Specialist is accountable for the delivery of one or more services of ERP platform, he/she acts as the bridge between the business issues and the technology solutions. He/she will assist the business in the initiation, transition and ongoing maintenance and support of a particular services, reporting to the BIT Upstream Factories Core Solutions Leader.

Key Accountabilities

  • Owner of the functional Know How of all the systems and platforms involved.
  • Developing the expertise in one or more business-technology areas (tools, technologies, IT services, business processes, etc.)
  • Managing and leading projects of implementation of new ERP solutions for tanneries and their rollouts on various manufacturing plants
  • Proposing solutions and approaches that best fit a specific need or proactively proposing improvements belonging to his/her area of expertise
  • Providing guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to wide groups for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results in complex initiatives
  • Ensuring the results’ achievement, motivating the stakeholders to "use their knowledge and skills" to achieve those results
  • Managing and supervising day by day activities carried out by suppliers
  • Responsible for validating the solutions proposed by suppliers (in terms of contents, time, costs and quality)
  • Definition of the capex and opex budget estimates related to the platform
  • Management of external consultants
  • Responsible for the correct allocation of the external consultants’ capacity
  • Responsible for the functional analysis of projects and Change Requests
  • Proposing best practices for the optimal coordination of operational activities required to deliver IT services.
  • Conducting analysis of complex business domains and related business processes or systems
  • Assessing the opportunities for service enhancement through the use of technologies and tools
  • Analyzing, transforming and ultimately resolving the business problems with the help of technology
  • Understanding and translating business requirements into activities, measures or service components that will ensure that BIT can meet those requirements
  • Managing the ongoing service delivery and support ensuring that they meet agreed business requirements
  • Identifying improvement opportunities for the service
  • Responsible for incident management and change request management processes to the services, ensuring to maximize their value for both BIT and the Business
  • Monitoring Service Levels agreed with Suppliers and with the Business addressing Service Level breaches or escalating where necessary
  • Delivering and organizing training sessions addressed to target users


  • +3 years in IT Service Maintenance
  • +3 years in process analysis and evolution, especially in the world of tanneries process planning and managing of production
  • +2 years in supplier management and coordination
  • A good knowledge of the end-to-end Order to Delivery process for cross-categories in luxury and fashion industry
  • A good knowledge of systems integration logics
  • A good knowledge of IT processes, Tanneries and Raw Materials
  • A good knowledge of Project management principles and methodologies and involvement in or managed medium-sized cross-functional projects in Logistic, Production of Raw Materials in large and complex companies
  • Scientific degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of IT solutions planning and Production Management of raw materials (leathers, tissues or accessories)
  • Advanced knowledge on the methods and logics of production in luxury or fashion industry especially on Tanneries and Accessories
  • ERP Platforms. Good knowledge of xTannery, SUED Tannery or Dedagroup Stealth 3000 Labs & Platform suite would be an asset
  • DB Platforms and fundamentals SQL skills. Knowledge of Oracle DB would be an asset.
