Role Mission

The Director, Omnichannel Fulfillment will drive continuous improvement around client processes for the brand within the eCommerce distribution center as a key part of the Digital Business team.  This role works cross functionally with brand Client Services (Gucci 9) Logistics, Supply Chain, and Inventory Planning teams as well as Kering logistics and 3PL teams to advance the development of our omni-channel goals.  Primary responsibilities include owning the relationship with the distribution center to ensure luxury standards and client centric approach is upheld.  The Director, Omnichannel Fulfillment will enable the optimization and growth of Gucci’s digital business during a key time in the development of the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be the voice of the brand at the distribution center, ensuring the expectations of the client are exceeded and brand standards are upheld at all parts of the purchase journey;

  • Drive an omni-channel view working across teams to put the client at the center of the fulfillment processes;

  • Ensure continuous achievement of operational SLAs through active management and overview of the processes;

  • Optimize operations for both US and Canada;

Process Oversight

  • Ensure quality control and accuracy of order fulfillment through development of training, monitoring, iterative improvement;

  • Partner closely with Client Services to improve existing processes including returns, exception handling, cancellations, etc.;

  • Oversee return processing, working closely with Client Services to ensure process is optimized;

  • Manage inventory flow including damaged and canceled orders based on system inaccuracy;

  • Monitor inbound receiving performance to ensure appropriate stock on hand to fuel business growth;

  • Lead quality management reviews and process improvement audits;

  • Determine the appropriate reporting processes and systems needed to ensure optimal support;

Forecasting

  • Work with the digital business team on the monthly forecasted volumes;

  • Develop staffing recommendations based on forecasted volume and business goals;

  • Monitor performance vs. forecast to proactively eliminate any delays in operations;

Packaging

  • Manage the organization around all packaging materials ensuring on hand quantities are optimized to support growth;

  • Work with global and local teams to develop best in class packaging recommendation to improve existing processes;

Omnichannel

  • Work cross functionally with the Gucci store teams to drive process improvements across the organization;

  • Ensure shared inventory and common stock processes are developed to drive the digital business.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree;

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in luxury eCommerce;

  • Deep understanding of distribution center operations for major luxury apparel brand;

  • Client centric approach to developing operations strategies that differentiate the brand from the competition;

  • Excellent presentation skills in front of senior management and large groups;

  • Ability to work across teams and rally others to work towards accomplishing shared goals;

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to overcome obstacles to deliver results;

  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success driving innovation from vision to execution and delivering tangible business results;

  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills;

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, which demands both quick thinking and strong attention to detail;

  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
