Role Mission

The Senior Manager, Client Engagement for the Northwest & Hawaii, based in San Francisco, will support efforts to develop and implement regional market leading loyalty strategies, innovative customer experiences and recruitment opportunities for Gucci Americas.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strong results through market, local and brand experiences, marketing, persuasive communication (written and verbal), selling (internal and external), and relationship management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the respective Client Engagement Director, Corporate Client Engagement and Events team, Market Directors, and Retail teams on the development, implementation, and analysis pre, during and post strategy to ensure each event opportunity is maximized for client development;
  • Develop, and action immersive personalized brand experiences;
  • Manage, implement, and action top client seasonal gifting programs;
  • Develop partnerships with travel, hotel, concierge services to offer key services to drive acquisition and cultivation of VIP clients;
  • Create tourist development programs to engage and cultivate key tourist groups during peak seasonal shopping periods;
  • Work with Regional Retail and Merchandising teams to manage the customer experience and end to end implementation of evergreen events, PINS, special orders such as DIY, MTO, MTM, and Premiere gowns;
  • Work with corporate and regional cross functional teams to support business objectives: Retail, Merchandising, Special Events, Public Relations, Advertising, Entertainment Relations, and other teams;
  • Develop strategies and innovative activations to drive top client customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation;
  • Analyze performance and impact of client initiatives on client development, customer behavior and team performance;
  • Manage regional client engagement events calendar and budget;
  • Support the stores in developing new event initiatives and create recommendations towards such initiatives;
  • Research and assist with visual, merchandising and store teams design elements for event concepts, invitations, venues, and décor;
  • Oversee visual preparation prior to in store events;
  • Manage vendor set up, store operational support, and elevation execution for the event when appropriate;
  • Ensure that actions recap report is available and completed for each event and all stores tracking the success of events on a per store basis and overall, throughout the region;
  • Partner with Corporate Client Relations team to manage private client relations initiatives such as coordinating exceptional experiences for clients;
  • Prepare all aspects of initiatives with each store: Fill initiative sheet for each action, prepare list of invites with store and coordinate with Corporate on printing and mailing invitations, client gifting gestures, coordinate catering, champagne, flowers etc.;
  • Client interactions: attending events and networking with clients in retail environment is expected.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, Hospitality;
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Retail, Special Events, Public Relations, Hospitality or Consulting;
  • Proven ability in client management, exceptional relationship, and partnership management skills in a B2B and B2C environment;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and experience interacting and working with VIP clients;
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the luxury fashion industry and the Gucci brand values;
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Experience with CRM Systems and Business Intelligence tools, such as Microstrategy, Siebel, Acxiom etc.;
  • Strategic, analytical and relationship building competencies required, with a strong knowledge of retail math;
  • Ability to outline a strategic plan, prioritize and make recommendations;
  • Ability to lead a group of peers to drive recommendations into implementation plans;
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills;
  • Experience presenting to senior management and assembling executive level communication;
  • Experience leading team of peers and ability to motivate others to act;
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment;
