Reporting to General Manager for SEAO, the incumbent is responsible for the Finance management of Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
This is a 5-month maternity coverage position to start in January 2020 and end in May 2020. How you will contribute:
Daily/Monthly:
- Work closely with various departments and Shared Services Centre to resolve day to day issue
- Work with SSC to ensure month-end closing is completed within the deadline and to ensure completeness and correctness for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand
- Review monthly schedule and audit schedule, investigate and follow up if any unusual / incompliance is found
- Provide business analysis and performance support to operation in order to drive business
- Prepare and communicate monthly actual figures to all department and provide support to queries and resolve discrepancies
- Review all inventory control matters
Budget/Forecast:
- Prepare Budget and Forecast for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand
- Consolidate Budget and Forecast for SEAO (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia)
- Review Budget and Forecast for SEAO and ensure all deliverables are submitted on time and prepare budget/forecast deck for submission
Business Development:
- Evaluate new projects and markets, provide management advice / recommendation if necessary
Others:
- Monitor financial and accounting activities, ensure the adherence to Group policy, statutory requirement and IFAS standard
- Liaise with auditors and tax agents on all audit and tax matters
- Liaise with banks
- Provide guidance to finance team
- Any other ad hoc assignment and projects.
Who you are:
- At least 5 years of working experience in retail
- Ability to work independently
- Hands-on individual with strong accounting technicalities
- Minimally a Degree in Accountancy and CA/ACCA/CPA
- Preferably to have experience in JDE and HFM
- Prefer to have development of Asian market experience
