We are currently seeking a West Coast Regional Director who will report to the Retail Director. YOUR OPPORTUNITY The West Coast Regional Director will oversee Balenciaga’s DOS and concession retail stores throughout the geographic area for both The United States and Canada.  The individual is a leader who exemplifies Balenciaga’s brand behaviors and is a role model within the business.  The West Coast Regional Director will work to inspire others, foster a culture of continuous growth and evolution, solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the workforce to achieve maximum results. The position reports to the Director of Retail and works closely with leaders to ensure a strong operational, profitable, and results-driven environment in our stores. This individual is accountable for sustaining the Balenciaga brand image, achieving sales and KPI goals, retaining and developing client relationships, and guarantees compliance with all process and guidelines set forth by HQ to bring the region to its full potential. Other areas of responsibility include ensuring operational excellence, maximum profitability and productivity as measured by the P&L, growing our talent pipeline through proactive recruitment, selection, development, networking, and strategic succession planning.


  • Define, execute and monitor the stores’ action plans to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Responsible for P&L results for stores, monitor store profitability and manage budgets
  • Develop business strategies to support regional growth
  • Participate in strategic decisions and execute all client initiatives, retail events, and client development activities to align with and support HQ and HO strategies  
  • Provide market specific feedback to Merchandising team regarding buying assortment for regional stores
  • Coordinate new store openings in partnership with corporate teams (i.e. Store Planning, Operations, Merchandising, etc.)
  • Partner with both West Coast & North American Visual Merchandising Departments regarding store and window presentations
  • Audit compliance of all Store Management and Store Associates with established Company policies and standards
  • Audit paperwork pertaining to receiving, transfers, debits/damages, and chargebacks to headquarters to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Ensure that proper channels of communication exist between the stores and corporate office
  • Ensure that security measures are met and that physical facilities comply with safety codes and ordinances
  • Consistently recruit top talent in partnership with Store Management teams along with the Head of Retail and HR
  • Partner with/support Training initiatives to ensure associates are trained in all areas of business (management training, induction, sales, product knowledge, etc.)
  • Partner with Human Resources department to ensure that company policies and guidelines are being upheld, and that employee relation issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner
  • Work with PR department on marketing initiatives
  • Identify additional top line opportunities appropriate for the geography in collaboration with Retail Director and Real-estate team
  • Travel and/or communicate virtually with all assigned regional retail locations


  • Proven ability to effectively manage a multi-store network of luxury boutiques
  • Understanding and ability to apply company policies and procedures  
  • Knowledge of Human Resources directives relating to progressive discipline, investigations, and documentation
  • Ability to develop and train management team, build relationships, and identify the appropriate utilization of skillsets
  • Ability to handle multi-million-dollar sales volume
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills
  • Proven experience effectively delegating tasks and follow-up with  in store managers and team members
  • Ability to merchandise and manage store operations effectively
  • Outstanding knowledge of customer service
  • Expertise in developing clients and repeat business
  • Understanding Omni-channel culture and approach
  • Expert understanding and ability to analyze financial details of retail business
  • Ability to be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executive sponsors
  • Capable of adjusting priorities and managing time wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to all employees
