About us Created in 2004 by Dennis Chan, Qeelin is a fine jewellery brand, which takes inspiration and emotional resonance from Chinese symbolism. The brand creates exquisite jewellery intended for daily wear that is meaningful, contemporary, and universal. Named after the Qilin, an auspicious Chinese mythical animal and icon of love, Qeelin fuses unbridled creativity with excellence in craftsmanship. It brings a touch of playfulness and surprise into the world of fine jewellery. The brand’s iconic Wulu collection revisits the legendary Chinese gourd, an auspicious emblem in Chinese tradition. To cope with business growth, we are currently looking for high calibre with creative mind-set to join us as Assistant Communications Manager.

How you will contribute

PR, MEDIA RELATIONS & EVENTS

  • Plan, develop and execute integrated communications plan and related initiatives
  • Develop / translate / proofread the PR materials in both English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese
  • Generate product placement and brand stories (including interviews of Qeelin Management) in key media where the brand is operating (especially in Hong Kong)
  • Handle media loan, celebrity loan and product shooting
  • Increase media presence / visibility by improving relationships with key local and regional media
  • Ensure active presence with brand and product exposure among KOL/influencers
  • Propose the most appropriate events and messages in line with corporate strategies
  • Take the lead in execution and logistics arrangement for international event, e.g. Cannes
  • Coordinate execution with local markets and vendors within the planned schedule and budgets
  • Update and maintain media profile and press database
  • Plan and utilize the media gift stock
  • Compile info for monthly PR report by using DMR monitoring system

ADVERTISING AND SPONSORSHIP:

  • Initiate and establish media plan based on key product push and brand happenings to drive brand awareness
  • Follow up advertising placement and media plan with perfect execution
  • Recommend the most appropriate media mix (print, OOH, digital)
  • Work closely with in-house Designer to create appropriate asset for advertising and within delivery schedule
  • Identify new partnerships and work with external parties or sponsors on join collaborations and partnerships
  • Establish 360 post campaign report for key product launch
  • Handle gift sponsorship logistics with internal departments

DIGITAL MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Take the lead to formulate social media calendar, incorporating both CN and global platforms
  • Plan, schedule, post and boost postings on social media platforms
  • Provide key info and cooperate with Marketing team to update latest happenings on website
  • Monitor, analyze and reporting to manager on social media growth and performance and assess against ROI and KPIs
  • Conduct competitive analysis within digital platforms and social media landscape
  • Compile info for monthly social media and digital reports

ADMINISTRATIVE & BUDGETS

  • To handle all invoice processing
  • Monitor and maintain budgets in terms of tracking, consolidation with financial reports on a monthly basis, update planning in relevant areas and forecasting
  • Analyze results of all campaigns to ensure activities are on-track with meeting ROIs

OTHERS

  • To work closely with other teams to support product launches, boutique openings and different activities
  • Any other tasks assigned by management from time to time
  • Manage 1 headcount in the team – Communications Assistant

Who you are

Technical Competencies

  • University graduates of Retailing, Communications  or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience and preferably in international retail brands/agencies
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese are required
  • Highly motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have solid experience in organizing events and formulating PR strategy
  • Good connections with agencies, suppliers and vendors
  • Extensive network with different types of media is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Words, Power Point, Excel
  • Digital savvy – experience in digital & social media activation
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and able to prioritize tasks
