ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

ROLE

This position is based in the Hong Kong Saint Laurent office, directly reporting to APAC Visual Merchandising Manager and supporting various VM aspects across Asia Pacific region. This role will work in close cooperation with market leaders, wholesale team and local VM teams.

 

 MISSION

  • Work closely with the APAC Visual Merchandising Manager on planning and implementing strategic VM activities across Asia Pacific region
  • Liaise with local VM teams to conceptualize and develop enhanced visualization and product presentation in store to support new launches and existing products
  • Responsible for layout of new store opening & renovation based on corporate guidelines and local market needs
  • Adapt visual merchandising guidelines and materials to retail stores and franchisee clients
  • Assist in implementing and executing display / merchandising direction in retail stores
  • Support the overall visual merchandising in-season process and visit stores as required to ensure consistent excellence of visual presentation standards, and constant roll-out of all departmental visual merchandising strategies
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on product style, mix and consistency of all visual programs in all stores
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure the project schedule is on time and completed up to global standard
  • Source and prepare props for window and store functions
  • Responsible for VM tools maintenance and upkeep
  • Liaise with key cross-functional business partners, including Wholesale, Retail Operations, Store Planning and Merchandising
  • Assist in other ad hoc duties and projects

 

PROFILE

  • Degree holder in Visual Merchandising, Art, Graphic Design or related disciplines 
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in the field of Visual Merchandising
  • Knowledgeable of VM techniques, window set up, in-store display and styling
  • Enthusiastic for fashion industry, with creativity and strong commercial sense
  • Fast-learner, self-motivated, mature and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in computer skills and multimedia applications including Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and Photoshop
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Travel is required
