E-Business Merchandising Manager (Maternity Cover)

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented E-Business Merchandising Manager to join the team for a six month maternity cover contract during a pivotal moment for the House.  Reporting to the WW E-Business Director and functionally to the WW Buying Director, the E-Business Merchandising Manager is responsible for leading the women’s and men’s buy to deliver product assortment, revenue, gross profit and sell through targets across the .com globally and growing estate of digital partnerships in line with the Alexander McQueen vision.  He/ She will manage a small team and be skilled at working cross functionally in order to shape and drive the merchandise of the website through trading a concrete commercial calendar.

Role & Responsibilities (buying - merchandising - e-commerce – salesforce commerce cloud – trade - commercial calendar – operations)

  • Define the OTB and complete assortment during the buying campaign.

  • Deliver a global flagship product assortment that aligns with all regions (EMEA, US, APAC, Japan) while simultaneously delivering the planned growth and profit targets.

  • Manages the product allocation and product lifecycle.

  • Oversee the build of catalogues enriching via PIM, style guiding the photoshoots, managing the product launch calendar and in-season onsite VM directives.

  • Creates and coordinates the commercial calendar for e-commerce in line with the marketing plan.

  • Regularly monitors product performance, stock evolution, sales forecast and replenishment for all digital doors.

  • Point of contact for warehouse on operational needs impacting product.

  • Analyse data in order to draw up conclusions about opportunities and challenges.

  • Monitors competitors and best players in terms of product strategy.

Key Requirements

  • University degree level educated in a relevant discipline

  • Strong buying, product and trading experience in e-Commerce

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously

  • Experience working with retail organisations and understanding of e-business optimal

  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members

  • Naturally proactive and creative problem solver

  • Strong eye for detail, highly organized and able to work calmly under pressure and timelines

  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through

  • Advanced Excel Skills

  • Proactive attitude and work ethics. 

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented

  • Rigorous attention to detail with the desire to drive continuous improvement

  • Competency in working agile appreciated

  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Italian and French desirable
