The House of Balenciaga, a subsidiary of KERING luxury division, is one of the most influential forces in fashion and is developing into a major player in the Luxury Goods industry. Founded in 1917 by Cristóbal Balenciaga and established in Paris in 1937, it defined many of the greatest movements in fashion from the 1930s to the 1960s. Balenciaga creates and markets women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections as well as leather goods and shoes. An eyewear collection and fragrances are also produced and distributed worldwide through a license agreement.

Directly reporting to the Global Retail Excellence Director, you will sustain and develop the Sales Performance and Brand perception at a global level through design, deployment and follow-up of projects, processes and tools related to the Retail Excellence universe. The aim is to guarantee Customer satisfaction, Brand consistency and first-rate standards, taking into account local needs liaising with all HQ departments and Regional Retail heads.

In constant interaction with key stakeholders including Retail teams, training, operations and CRM, constantly analyze trends, formulate and deliver reports and standard dashboards to monitor the performance (sales, products, client behaviors…) and draw applicable and actionable short/medium term action plans to drive and grow business.

In this context, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Assess as-is situation at regional level vs HQ requirements, define action plans with Retail and follow up
  • Give constant feedback to fellow Retail Excellence departments about projects, their implementation, regional contacts needs
  • Monthly and ad-hoc analysis of various aspects of the Retail business (markets, customers, stores performance) and creation and automatisation of store and HQ Dashboards
  • Ensure follow-up of Business Analysis at global level linked with the bonus scheme, efficient deployment at local level
  • Support training & retail teams to define appropriate training programs to improve targeted KPIs
  • Develop and foster the House’s knowledge of its Retail business, with a particular focus on Customers and Retail KPIs and identify actions to increase turnover
  • Ensure the consistency and coherence of KPIs and Balenciaga experience across markets
  • Improve processes and identify opportunities to improve and optimize field efficiency, acting as a key contact to the markets.
  • Client experience monitoring through Mystery Shopping Programme (CEE) and launching NPS Program ‘The voice of the client’ in 150+ DOS
  • Coordination and consistent followup of Retail Excellence projects and improvement of reporting for Retail stores, in collaboration with regional contacts

Profile requirements:

  • Business school / BAC+5, comfortable with numbers and cross-functional analyses (product, client, finance…)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Retail performance
  • Exposure and understanding of luxury retail environment is a strong plus
  • Strategic approach and business acumen: reflect from multiple perspectives and with diverse stakeholders (management committees, country and zone directors, retail teams)
  • Structured approach, analytical skills and ability to define action plans and follow-up
  • Great networking skills in a professional and intercultural context
  • Ability to convince, animate and motivate very diverse retail teams
  • Proactive mindset: ability to innovate, introduce new ideas, convince, promote change
  • Empathy: great listening and adaptation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast international environment, sometimes under pressure on tight schedule and adapting to different requests (prioritize + flexibility)
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and Power Point
  • Perfect command of English. French and Italian would be a plus
