The Finance Controller will be responsible for all the aspects of Financial Management, including reporting and compliance activities, related to Germany country.

Main assignments:

  • Ensure that appropriate reporting and accounting systems, and internal control procedures are in place to enable effective financial management of the business in line with statutory

  • Provide complete and accurate financial reporting for all entities within the business which include budgeting, forecasting, project evaluation

  • Provide the management report on a monthly basis and ensure the respect of the timing

  • Conduct variance analyses from the budget and report significant issues to management

  • Ensure accurate and consistent reporting of all capital expenditure within the business

  • Monitor cash flows and predicting future trends

  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments and contract negotiations

  • Prepare feasibility study for new projects

  • Ensure compliance with statutory

  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Identify and monitor potential business risk and deliver recommendations

  • Liaising with internal/external auditors

  • Work closely with Accounting dept (shared service center) to oversees the production of periodic monthly closure, ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller in retail industry

  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

  • Master degree in Accounting will be considered as a plus

  • Knowledge of software JD Edwards, JDA, Hyperion and Excel advanced

  • Strong knowledge of SAP (FI/CO)

  • Fully fluent in German and English (read, spoken and written)

  • Dynamic, capable to work under pressure

  • Proactive

  • Problem solving skills
