Reporting to the Leather Goods Merchandising Director, you will support the team in defining the new collection structure, developing fashion knowledge and staying up to date with the latest fashion and luxury goods industry trends. You will join a dynamic and passionate team and be in constant interaction with different departments, such as Product Development department, Regional Buying teams, Retail Merchandising team, Merchandising Operational Flow etc.).

Key Accountabilities

  • Development of training manuals and presentations with detailed product information on each collection for regional buyers
  • Market and competitor's analysis in terms of product and pricing positioning in the different markets
  • Support in the preparation of merchandising plans to define the new collections’ structure and requests that will be discussed with the Design team
  • Support in the pricing and markdown strategy making
  • Follow up with production to respect the delivery timings
  • Weekly monitoring of sales providing qualitative comments
  • Participation in the organization of the sales campaigns and production of all supporting materials and buying tools (such as: control of product styles codes, update of KPIs, photos and samples, catalogs and advertising, exit lists)
  • Development of post sales campaign reports (such as: sell in by region/country and worldwide - by line, function, best sellers, etc.)

Key Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience as merchandising assistant or buying assistant preferably in the fashion/luxury goods industry
  • Passion for the fashion/luxury environment, being up to date on the constantly evolving competitive scenario. Also considering niche/emerging brands
  • Educational background preferably in business management or similar 
  • Fluency in English 
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ambition to exceed corporate goals and go the extra mile in the daily work 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Flexibility in supporting the team in many different activities with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
