ROLE MISSION
The candidate will be integrated in the GUCCI Creative Atelier and will be responsible for timely delivering patterns for outerwear and tailoring category based on the Artistic Director and the Head of Creative Atelier inputs and requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experimental development of carcasses, canvases, and patterns based on Design Teams inputs.
- Participate in fittings providing technical support and advise to Product Development
- Perform all pattern modifications deriving from fittings
- Build and maintain a close relationship with Design Teams and Product Development to ensure a timely product confirmation
- Build up and maintain a pattern archive
- Develop and maintain fit standards in collaboration with internal technicians to ensure consistency of fit for each product category
- Continually research new ideas that could be used to improve quality and efficiency of each product category
- Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of garment experimentation through innovative shapes, pattern constructions, and volumes, in alignment with the brand’s creative sensibility.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- College or university degree in Pattern Making
- Solid experience in a similar role preferably in luxury brands
- Excellent knowledge of techniques used for outerwear and tailoring pattern making is a must
- Proficiency in CAD systems (knowledge of Lectra will be considered a plus)
- Advanced skills in CLO 3D for virtual garment development and visualization
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Good leadership skills
- Language skills: Italian and preferably English
- Positive spirit, able to forge working teams with different multi-cultural personalities
- Ability to maintain energy, focus and to work under pressure
