ROLE MISSION
The Knitwear Designer, reporting to the Collection Coordinator and working closely with the Creative Director, will be in charge of the design and development of the Knitwear collection. Main counterparts will be colleagues from the Production Sites and external suppliers, Supply Chain and Merchandising Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Be in charge of presentation on collection structure
- Develop creative and innovative designs for Knitwear collection.
- Be responsible for the design of details and styling to be proposed to the Creative Director
- Follow up with PM to develop the collection
- Be in charge of market research
- Be responsible for presentation & collection briefings to commercial showroom and sellers
- Search Market trends: research and study new collection concept
, provides recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc, develops the collection by sketching, conceptualizing, and designing;
- Ensure that product is of high quality and consistent with market trends as well as business strategy;
- Develop creative and innovative projects
- Ensure design packages are complete and accurate;
- Design of details, silhouettes, styling
- Create highly detailed drawings and sketches for technical purposes
- Partner with product development office to ensure product development is appropriate, finding the best construction solutions;
- Support Fitting
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor Degree focused on Design or similar education
- Excellent presentation skills
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Drawings and sketching skills
- Good English
- Fluent Italian
