Role Mission
The DIY Specialist based in the Gucci Wynn location is responsible for creating a seamless client experience for the Gucci DIY (Do It Yourself) program. The DIY Specialist provides expertise, training and clienteling support to other team members when servicing their clients.
Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate and share category knowledge by clearly communicating and partnering with store teams throughout the DIY process;
- Build strong partnerships with members of cross-functional teams, including Client Advisors, Store Directors, Merchandising Managers and Visual Merchandisers;
- Optimize the DIY program by placing, tracking, and managing all orders accurately from order placement to final transaction;
- Consistently work to establish and maintain Gucci as a market leader in DIY, meeting sales targets and achieving the highest levels of client satisfaction;
- In collaboration with the Store Director, co-ordinate and execute all aspects of the DIY special events;
- Compile and share product feedback and market needs with the Store Director;
- Travel within the market for individual one-to-one or group DIY events;
- Develop and drive client relationships within DIY that exceed financial goals and KPIs;
- Facilitate trainings in collaboration with the in-store trainer;
- Be the subject matter expert in fitting and measuring all body types, able to measure independently without the assistance of a tailor;
- Partner with fellow colleagues to foster open and constructive communication and ensure a consistent and exceptional client experience;
- Maintain an impeccable selling environment within the DIY area in the store, ensuring that all garments are properly maintained and cared for (steamed, pressed, folded, etc.);
- Maintain an active, accurate, neat, and organized client database, contacting clients regularly and providing appropriate follow-up on all sales or client requests;
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly individual sales goals, as well as special event sales goals, while enhancing and developing the business;
- Monitor orders and oversee all aspects of the DIY process from start to finish;
- Maintain all fabric swatches and line lists to ensure they are always up to date;
- Capture client data according to the Company tools (CRM), for the purpose of connecting with and maintaining client relationships;
- Maintain the visual display of all products in accordance with Gucci visual merchandising standards.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of luxury sales experience with a focus on Made to Measure programs;
- Previous experience with garment fittings;
- Understand the technical components of DIY process;
- Ability to discuss and give advice on general trends in fashion world and developments in the luxury market, showing passion for fashion and luxury products;
- Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store goals;
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and coworkers;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
- Must be flexible;
- Ability to work an ad hoc schedule based on business needs, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays;
- Ability to communicate in English and Arabic is a plus;
- International and domestic travel may be required;
- Facilitation skills are preferred.
