Role Mission

The Retail Training Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination, organization and execution of training events and activities. Supports Gucci America and Worldwide special projects and assists in managing communication and execution in stores.  Acts as point of communication between NY corporate office and field (including In-Store Training Ambassadors). Demonstrates a high level of organizational and communication skills and a desire for future development within the Training Department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversees all logistics for training events;
  • Communication between field and corporate office;
  • Manage booking of meeting spaces, securing additional as needed;
  • Manages food and beverage and catering, including delivery and set up;
  • Communicates agenda and timing to attendees and presenters;
  • Confirms and books audio/visual and presentation tools needed;
  • Communicates and organizes with all necessary vendors and cross-functional partners;
  • Creates timeline and follow-up for timely execution;
  • Manages event within budget;
  • Provide communication to participants as required by event (pre and post event);
  • Manages orchestration of logistics for Gucci America hosted Store Manager Meeting: communicating with vendors, managing communication and execution with cross-functional partners, ordering food and beverage and audio visual with hotel and vendors, and coordinating attendee travel/hotel booking;
  • Manages communication with accounts payable for vendor payment and updates training budget after events;
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating training calendar for Gucci America Retail and Worldwide;
  • Creates posts and content for Gucci To Go Training App, communicating with relevant Worldwide and Gucci America partners;
  • Creates PowerPoint decks for training initiatives, partnering with Regional Training Managers for content as needed;
  • Maintain and collate training analytics and reporting;
  • Maintains back-end local usage for Learning Management System; assisting stores as needed;
  • Assists in supporting corporate communication to retail teams for training initiatives;
  • Offer general administrative assistance and support for team as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years administrative or project management experience;
  • 2 years retail experience (Sales or Management);
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment;
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
