Kering is currently seeking an Inventory Accountant based in our Wayne, New Jersey location to support the accounting activity for our brands.
How you will contribute
The Inventory Accountant will be a key contributor in our monthly close process. This position will help us report accurate and timely financial data in inventory purchase, IC trade payables and sales margin. Specific tasks include:
Maintain general ledger records to ensure accurate financial results
Develop accurate accrual methods and apply them where needed
Manage a task list to deliver timely financial statements in accordance with established schedule and in coordination with the rest of the accounting department
Reconcile subledgers to GL, understand and address any discrepancies
Reconcile accounts by authenticating, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and addressing discrepancies
Support financial data with proper documentation
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to Management’s attention
Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
Prepare analysis and supporting schedules for both internal and external audits
Comply with legal and company policies
Any other ad hoc activities as needed
Verify and confirm sales figures
Reconcile IC transactions on inventory purchases and Trade payables to counterpart invoices and statement
Accrue In-Transit Inventory
Accrue Duties, Freight and Brokerage fees
Reconcile Inventory transactions in Movex (Wholesales) and JDA(Retail) to Lawson including communication with relevant stakeholders to clear discrepancies
Conduct BS account reconciliations on Inventory accounts including accruals
Who you are
5 – 7 years of accounting experience with in-depth knowledge of Accounting Principles, both GAAP and IFRS
Experience with inventory valuation method
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Close attention to detail, curious to learn and eager to address discrepancies
Ability to meet hard deadlines
Experience utilizing accounting and finance software such as SAP, Hyperion, MS Excel, Smartview, Lawson, Movex, JDA and Blackline
Able to manage large amounts of data
Able to manage confidential information
