Our Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Controller that will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits in compliance with all IFRS and GAAP. This person will manage the accounts payable and payroll function, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements.
How you will contribute:
Manage the monthly financial statement and month end closing and ensure accuracy of the financial information; P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies.
Prepare general ledger entries with monthly closing and inter-company reconciliations.
Support with cost controlling in all areas by communicating and collaborating with stakeholders in both the region and HQ.
Works with CFO to establish, coordinate, and administer a plan for the control of operations based on budgets and forecasts.
Assist CFO in preparation of the budget and forecast.
Assist CFO in internal audits and assist external auditors for review and audit of financial statements.
Perform inventory reconciliations between accounting and inventory programs on monthly basis

This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably in retail industry
Solid Knowledge of US GAAP and preferably of IFRS
Solid communication skills (oral and written) and effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills;
Must be Self-Motivated, Energetic, Proactive, Creative and a Problem Solver;
Sound knowledge and experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Demonstrated ability to develop plans, establish priorities and organize activities to optimize the functionality of the accounting department;
Navision Experience, a plus
CPA, a plus
Foreign language, a plus (Italian, Spanish)
Experience in retail and Luxury Goods industry preferred
