We are currently seeking an Account Manager (East/North ) to join our Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery team, who will report into the Sales Manager (UK and Northern Europe). The area will include as far South as Cambridge / Leamington Spa, far west as Wolverhampton and the furthest North is Newcastle.

Your Opportunity  

To oversee the daily sales management and presentation of Gucci watches and jewellery in their dedicated region to achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives. Through close relationships with other Gucci departments you are to ensure the brand strategy is implemented across all networks and you are to actively drive sales and achieve budget targets by building a qualitative omnichannel distribution network. 

How you will contribute 

Account Management - Responsible for driving performance in line with the company’s strategy within an omnichannel network anticipating and adapting to the business needs for each channel.

  • Establish an effective call plan in order to achieve KPI in terms of frequency of visits per store dependent on their turnover and profile, with focus on all Gucci branded locations 

  • Building and developing new and existing relationships

  • Defining strategy for retailers and stores in order to improve sales and luxury brand image

  • Defining and implementing business plans / visit reports 

  • Regular meetings with key stake holders / Regional Managers to help drive sales and implement the brand strategy

  • Setting and reviewing targets and progress monthly.

  • Identifying an instore ambassador to be the eyes and ears between visits and help drive sales and motivate colleagues. 

  • Identifying commercial / sales opportunities to grow revenue and market share

  • Motivating through passion and enthusiasm via in-store general training and presenting

  • Ensure the highest possible customer service and management of orders and deliveries.

  • Looking for new opportunities and looking to improve existing accounts

  • Maintain awareness of external factors (including competitors, industry developments).

  • Collect monthly sell-out reports from customers.

  • Collect and manage orders in cooperation with the relevant departments

  • Maintain a store metric database, ensuring updates and images are uploaded after every store visit and changes recorded.  Ensure all mandatory images are always available and up to date

Stock Management - a key part of the role and plays a vital role in the brand image and overall strategy.  

Independents – Core range management and stock inventory

  • Propose and develop a range plan per independent account in line with the set product clusters

  • Set a replenishment process with each independent retailer in line with their range plan

  • Analyse sell out data through sell out and stock reports to review BSL levels and product assortment on a regular basis

  • Present new collections to buyers in line with the set product clusters via showrooms during selling campaigns.

  • Deal with client's commercial returns requests in line with company policy and manager approval

Multiples / DOS / Concessions / MBB - Stock inventory

  • Check stock holding is in line with sales performance, space and dedicated cluster size, reporting to Sales Manager / Retail Manager.

Visual Merchandising and Trade Marketing - Working collaboratively with the Visual Merchandising and Trade Marketing teams to ensure the Watch and Jewellery category is being represented to brand guidelines and in the best possible way in every point of sale

  • Visual Merchandising checked and rectified on every store visit.

  • Ensure customers have the correct POS material and maintain strong VM in all accounts

  • Carrying out visual merchandising training for sales associates.

  • Look for new opportunities to increase brand presence in qualitative stores

  • Suggesting new POS material to best showcase the range specified to the store

  • Installation of Point of Sale material 

  • Supporting the planning and implementation of new campaigns, special window and customisations

  • Providing the Trade Marketing team with information required for POS applications and Installation reports required by HQ

  • Maintaining Store Metric database with latest imagery of store overview


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to drive marketing strategies and initiatives

  • Working closely with the marketing manager to ensure all business opportunities are maximised

Training - Collaborating with the Training Manager to implement brand training in all POS reaching as many people in store as possible

  • In store training using the latest master deck provided by the worldwide training team

  • Supporting Training Manager with digital training ensuring staff are attending and engaging in the programme

  • Following up on the digital training with ambassadors to ensure they are using in store and driving sales

  • Ensuring all stores are updated on new lines through training and presentation

Ecommerce and Communications

  • Identifying opportunities to drive sales online

  • Collaborating with the communications team to ensure all images are up to date and the brand represented within brand guidelines.

  • Liaising with customer ecommerce teams to maximise sales, looking for opportunities on landing pages and via customer social media channels.

  • Analyse sales data to review online ranges and opportunities

Reporting and Sales Analysis Admin

  • Collect and log monthly sell-out reports from independent accounts

  • Collect and log stock reports from independent customers

  • Analysis of sell out reports for Multiples / DOS / Concessions / MBB following up where required

  • Analysis of SKU reports to keep on top of the sales trends to adjust range sizes and BSL’s accordingly and identifying opportunities

General Admin

  • Store Metrics maintenance

  • Ad hock admin as requested by Sales / Operations / Marketing Departments

  • Presentations for strategy and sales meetings

  • Utilising standardised reports provided by each department management


  • Working closely with the finance team to resolve customer queries and late payments
