GUCCI Retail Manager

Reporting to the General Manager – ANZ this position is responsible for managing and supporting all 12 retail doors across Australia and New Zealand. This position is also responsible for all sales management, sales growth, goal achievement and exploitation of new business opportunities.
How you will contribute
Proposing innovative solutions to better fit the retail business expansion and needs
Making certain Gucci’s maximizing sales, revenues, reaching all targets and global efficiency and minimizing costs
Ensuring all colleagues are informed (including regional and worldwide as required by your manager) on business performance and new initiatives
Organisation and exceptional execution of all promotions, displays and events with relevant stakeholders
Effectively manage client complaints in conjunction with Consumer Management and others as required
Store Planning and Forecasting
Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes for maximizing profits
Studying and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
Analysis and Monitoring
Managing and controlling data analysis
Monitoring detailed sales and stock for each store, analyzing all trends
Maximizing sales and results by store through collaboration with the Merchandising team, Retail
Operations and Store Planning for a better understanding of each door and market
Create and generate accurate sales reporting for management and executive level staff, including accurate sales/product analysis and analysis vs results previously gained
Managing all Store Managers/Directors on stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
Supervision on activities of inventory in all doors, whilst analyzing selling trends
Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail and luxury industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing
Visiting competitors’ outlet, assessing best practice and analyzing how to effectively implement in Gucci doors
Store Visits and Openings
Visit all stores, talking, engaging with staff and customers
Establish good relationships with both retail management, customers, all other department (head
office and regional) departments
Ensure that all stores create and maintain a Gucci image and ensure all staff act, comply and
uphold to all Gucci policies and procedures
Ensure all visual merchandising standards are upheld
Manage new door openings from end-to-end, ensuring all relevant departments remain informed
and followed up as required
Exploit new business opportunities
Effective end-to-end management of all direct reports, including Store Managers/Directors and the Associate Retail Manager
Managing and motivating Store Managers/Directors to maintain high standard levels of performance, increase sales and ensure efficiency
Provide coaching & guidance to all business leaders on all people related issues, events, business decisions
Managing Store Manager/Directors on delegation to effectively maximize team management and meet business objectives and KPIs
Act as a business partner with all department (head office and Regional teams) to ensure execution of business strategies, including but not limited too, price events, events, analysis of sales etc.
Act as a business partner with the Human Resources team on a full range of HR matters including, remuneration and benefits, workforce planning, recruitment & selection, induction & on-boarding engagement strategies, culture enhancement strategies, ER issue resolution, performance management, WHS, organisational design, learning & development, risk management, etc.
Support the execution of key HR activities – Performance Management, Development Planning,
Annual Reviews, Succession Planning, Talent Mapping, training for Aftersales and across Gucci as required
Actively supports and facilitates change management processes collaborating with key stakeholders
Conduct annual development needs analysis in collaboration with Gucci HR, Associate Retail Manager and Store Managers/Directors.
Ensure career development plans are in place across all Stores
Workplace Health and Safety
Ensure compliance of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) strategies, including driving health and safety practices and ensuring the Gucci Workplace Health and Safety policy and standards are upheld and executed consistently.
Identify ways to improve WHS throughout each store in collaboration with Retail Operations and Human Resources
Ensure all relevant departments are engaged in store matters and daily operations as required
Complete all other reporting as required
Attend and complete all relevant trainings as required
Ensure all of the retail management team, staff and stores comply with Gucci Code of Conduct
and Gucci Australia and New Zealand Values
All other ad hoc duties as required by your manager
Manage and develop direct reports, including completing performance reviews, check in’s, and development plans as required. Ensure that all issues surrounding performance are highlighted to the Store Manager/Director in a timely manner and actioned in partnership with the Store Manager/Director and/or Human Resources
Utilize all company tools including iPhone, iPad etc and company applications effectively, efficiently and as required by the business
Ensure active participation on company provided platforms such as Workplace, Workday, Retail Training Portal, ENTO, LUCE, etc
Adhere to all in store Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
Comply to all Gucci and Kering Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
All other ad hoc duties as required by your manager
Who you are
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a high-volume retail or service-based industry preferably in the luxury environment
Proven strong operational performance within a high volume and high turnover retail environment, leading a team. Other relevant service sector experience may be considered.
