We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Manager who will report to General Manager as part of our dynamic corporate team in Singapore.
The function of the Inventory Control Manager role is to ensure that all Inventory Control procedures and rules are fully implemented and optimized throughout the SEA region and the management of the expansion within it. The individual is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and management of the Company’s inventory across the region to maximize the attainment of business goals.
To support the development of South East Asia operations by ensuring all stock controls and processes are in place.
To train and develop the SEA Inventory Controller and Inventory Control Assistant to ensure proper follow up of required operations within the 4 SEA countries to the best possible standard.
To perform, along with the Inventory Controller and Inventory Control Assistant, all IC tasks for SEA including adjustments, transfers, price changes, Sales and Margin files for closing, stock takes.
To maintain and review all Inventory Control guidelines and processes, and look for alignment within the APAC region, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and attainment of business results.
To coordinate with 3rd parties handling Inventory Control in other markets to ensure compliance and alignment.
To support any development of the Merchandising strategy and advise on the best solution from an Inventory Control perspective.
To analyse the current situation and propose optimization on End of Season allocations.
To analyse the current situation and propose optimization on inter- country transfers.
To be the main point of contact and reference on the Sales and Margin file and ensure training of all finance parties.
To give high quality feedback and advise on logistic solutions and processes.
To ensure that all the processes related to inventory control are executed in compliance with legal, safety, internal requirements, sustainability and HR practices.
Project management of the implementation of key inventory control processes and new inventory control tools.
To guarantee the optimal stock organization consistent with business strategy.
Experience, business and technical skills
- Good understanding of Logistics and Retail processes with over 3 years’ experience at Inventory Controller level within a Retail business, ideally within a regional scope.
- Process knowledge associated with an ERP-application (JDA preferred)
- People Management experience
- Strong analytical skills, precision and attention to detail
- Excellent critical thinking skills to devise and execute actions
