    To celebrate women’s talent in cinema, and encourage thinking on their contribution to the film industry, Kering and the Cannes International Film Festival will launch the Women in Motion programme, with a series of talks on women in cinema in the presence of prominent figures, and two awards recognising talented female film-makers.

    Kering, H&M and innovation company Worn Again join forces to make the continual recycling of textiles a sustainable reality. To address the demand of polyester filament and cotton fibre, and the growing issue of clothes-to-landfill, Worn Again’s textile-to-textile chemical recycling technology is the first of its kind able to separate and extract polyester and cotton from old or end-of-use clothing and textiles.

    Preserving modernist architecture

    Okura Hotel, one of Japan’s most loved modernist buildings is under threat of demolition. The news has sparked an outcry of protest from arts and design enthusiasts. Check out the social media initiative launched by Tomas Maier, creative director of Bottega Veneta, to support the preservation of the modernist architecture.

    The first and largest retrospective dedicated to McQueen's life and work has finally arrived in the British capital. 70,000 tickets sold in advance for the opening at London's Victoria and Albert museum.

    Conversation with Yuan Feng

    An advocate of women's rights and gender equality in China, Yuan Feng has dedicated most of her career to such causes since the mid-1980s. She is also the newest board member of the Kering Foundation.
    K magazine reporter caught up with her on a recent visit to London.

    On the occasion of International Women's Day, Kering is pleased to support Des Femmes et des Hommes, by Frédérique Bedos.
    Depicting the consequences of gender inequality in society, this documentary film was shown at the UN recently and broadcast on French TV.

    Clean by Design

    Kering took part in the NRDC Luncheon & Discussion on Sustainable Fashion in New York on 4 March, where the focus was on how the fashion industry can change today's environmentally impactful reality. 
    Laurent Claquin, Head of Kering Americas, told how the NRDC and Kering have developed "Clean by Design" methodology and are now rolling this out across the Group’s brands.
